bought this item for my son who just started pop warner football and is 9yrs old. My wife was so worried he would get hurt and wanted as much padding as possible. searched local stores and online this was the best product for the price. and love the color

Love this shirt! We ordered it for our 10 year old son after the first week of football practice when we discovered raw red marks on both sides of the fronts of his shoulders where the sleeveless McDavid Hexpad shirt he was wearing failed to protect him from the rubbing of his shoulder pads. My son put this Under Armour shirt through the ringer and not only did it protect him and make him more comfortable, it's also held up great! It was worn for 3 practices and 1 game each week from mid-August through November and still looks like it did when we bought it. We washed it in the washer (cold water, no fabric softener) and hung to dry (no dryer). On top of the great protection and durability, my son loves it and thinks it's "cool looking". Yes, it's an expensive shirt but a must-have item in my opinion and considering he should easily be able to wear this again next season it's worth every penny!

Son used this for his contact football. Worked very well, held up well to use three times per week with washouts.
