5.0 out of 5 stars Great value for $20. November 25, 2012
Verified Purchase
PROS:

- Great versatility: can hold XBox, PS and Nintendo games, as well as Blu-Ray and DVDs.

- $20 holds 36 discs w/ cases. I looked around at Target, WalMart, etc., and this was the best value.

- Being able to stack multiple towers vertically, horizontally, or screw to the wall turns out to be extremely useful.

- Nice design that can blend in with most room setups.

CONS:

- During assembly, the individual plastic parts do feel rather cheap, constant fear of snapping off extremities of you aren't careful.

5.0 out of 5 stars They work perfectly for me! March 2, 2012
By Katrina
Fun: 5.0 out of 5 stars
I have two of these purchased from a certain mega-chain game store. ^_~

Vertically, the storage tower is 26" tall, about 9" wide, and 6" deep. This is for the entire thing, not just usable space. As another reviewer stated, each tower has slots for 36 cases.

I LOVE how these can be stacked vertically or horizontally! Mine are currently stacked horizontally and hold DVDs and Blu-rays (with only a few games because the games are stored somewhere else).

DVD cases with an outer sleeve are too thick to fit into the slots, but most Blu-Ray cases with an outer sleeve fit (Tron's outer sleeve has an extra holographic card pasted on the outside of the sleeve which makes it too tight of a fit for my tastes). You can toss the outer sleeve, store them somewhere else separately, or store the case and sleeve elsewhere... like on top of the tower if you have them stacked horizontally. Boxed sets can also be stored on the top.

The only problem with storing things on top of the horizontal tower is that the plastic will bend inward if the weight to support ratio is off balance. It isn't cheap, thin plastic... it's just gravity. XD

I will get more in the future.

2.0 out of 5 stars Get a real shelf instead February 16, 2014
I decided to try out one of these for storing my games and DVDs -- my apartment hasn't got a lot of space, so there's a lot of appeal to me in having a stackable, modular solution like this to be able to deal with a DVD collection. Unfortunately it's not quite all it's cracked up to be. There are two design shortcomings in particular that keep me from wanting to recommend this to anybody.

1 - Too many moving parts
This tower is supported by four legs, each of which has slots that allow you to slide a DVD in. There's a huge gap between each set of legs and nothing bridging the front slots from the back slots, so it's easy to "miss" and push in a DVD case off-center, preventing it from going in all the way or causing it to become wedged off-center. Either circumstance is more of a hassle than would generally be preferred from a product with this simple of a task to perform.

2 - The function of this device is too specific
Simply put, it only slots DVD cases, at a standard size. Movie and TV series collections? Forget it, it only slots single DVD cases. DVD cases with sheaths? Forget it, the slots are just a bit too thin to accept a thin layer of cardstock around a DVD case without forcing it. DVD cases with non-standard dimensions? Forget it. Too tall and it won't fit, too short and it won't be secure. These are all nitpicks when you can clearly see on the box the way these slots are configured, but you don't realize how disappointing all these little bugs are until you start adding them up and realize you could've gotten a shelf instead and stacked just about anything on it.

I'll lay it out: This costs anywhere between $20-30 depending on where you get it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good May 23, 2014
Verified Purchase
This is the same exact thing you will purchase at game stop.

Product is plastic
It is sturdy and does what it is suppose to do.

I have no complaints because I knew what to expect. I bought a total of 4 and stacked them up by the twos.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product with only 2 problems. December 3, 2013
Verified Purchase
The LevelUp Towers are great for those with large game libraries who don't want to use a shelf that will just have excess space left over in front of the games. I have 2 of these horizontally on my wall and they look great, and work great. There are two problems with them though.
1. The plastic will flex/droop from the weight if horizontally mounted to the wall and filled up.
2. I've had to put 7 layers of cardboard on the bottom part in order to angle the Tower so games wouldn't spill out. Not a big problem, but one that should be mentioned. I like the angles look, so it doesn't bother me, and the cardboard is barely noticeable.

Bought one like it from Walmart, this one was same price, but much better quality and I didn't have to go to Walmart to get it and keep funding the Chinese Revolution! Lol

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily Buildable towers. September 21, 2014
Verified Purchase
I've got a total of three of these now- that's how interesting they are as far as use. They aren't necessarily the most stable thing in the world by themselves, but once you put in DVDs, games (PS3, Xbox 360, PS4, etc.), and other media, the tower holds down pretty stable. I like how you can stack multiple towers, and yes, all three of mine are in one tower. I'm pretty satisfied with how they are and how well they hold my media. You can even hang the towers on the wall vertically if you'd want to do it that way.

The only con I would have to say about this is the instructions are superbly clear for assembly, but once you figure out how one is assembled, you can use the first one you built as a model to assemble others- which is clearer than following the printed instructions.
