Came almost put together already. Super cute, holds a lot of books- kids have fun turning it. Got it for 2 and 5 year olds' room. Probably better for little bit younger, like baby to 4 year old. Better for board books.

This bookcase is adorable. My 17 month old enjoys rotating it and finding different whimsical designs on the sides. It came already put together save for the red balls and the bookends on the top- both super easy to attach. Not sure about durability as we've not had it long and it did come damaged. However, a quick phone call to the company yielded a new one being sent and the return was handled at no cost to me. I suspect the bookcase will last as long as it holds his interest- then I will pack it up and save it for my grandchildren!

The bookcase is poorly designed. The green wooden bars do not actually connect between levels -- only a very thin wooden dowel within each green wooden bar connects the two levels. The first day we had the bookcase, these wooden dowels broke.

This bookcase does not appear to be safe as the top level could become separated and easily fall. I strongly advice you not to purchase it. If you have already purchased it, I recommend that you examine and/or return your bookcase.
