Author Review,

This review is from: Leveraging a Lottery (Paperback)
A gambling casino introduces a simple lottery based upon the roll of a single die. Seven players try their various "systems" and demonstrate the concept of short and long term random. Each player's "system" is then converted into a mathematical relationship called a "filter". Simple probability techniques describe the concept of filters, when they succeed or fail, and their refllexive property. Leveraging a Lottery uses eleven filters to generate 66 bank accounts. These accounts become "leveraged" when generating a bet ticket and gain or lose money depending on their success rate. A player now has a statistical tool to guage whether he is on a winning/losing streak. Leveraging a Lottery is a game within a game that may actually improve your chance of winning -- all mathematical proofs are presented. For the more mathematically inclined, the last chapter presents several tests for significance on lottery bias with emphasis on frequncy, subtle patterns, and ball pair affinity. Radically new statistical concepts included the 9824 Rule; limitations in using Student's t and Z in lottery analysis; a normally distributed transformation for Hit Intervals; and the Significant Other Test for significance. Also presented is the source code for Normal, Student's t, z, Binomial, and Chi Squared distributions. Mailing instructions are given for obtaining the Leveraging a Lottery computer program along with a utility program with statistical procedures for lottery bias.

This review is from: Leveraging a Lottery (Paperback)
An entertaining book that is written in a fiction novel format. It contains several types of equations that partain to the lottery. A fun book for those who enjoy probability(mathematics) and who like to play the lottery. There's always the chance pick or there's the chance to pick your own numbers in a fun mathematical way. The choice is yours as is the choice to read an interestingly thought out book.
