I had been stagnating in my career as a self-employed real estate investor for a couple of years. I didn't know what I wanted to do when I grew up, but I figured once I acquired enough property and got myself set financially, I would be able to delve into other things that interested me and figure it out. Trouble was, real estate investing just got harder and harder for me to do. The joy wasn't there anymore, and I was forcing myself to do it for the money. Long story short, I burned out on real estate and failed at starting two new businesses. I had sold off assets to finance the startups, and once my cushion was gone, my income was half of what it had been.

After two failed start ups, I figured I had lost whatever trait it was that made self-employed people successful, so I tried for a year to go to work for someone else. I applied for 75 jobs, got three interviews, and no takers. I was broke and discouraged. This had gone on for so long, and I couldn't figure out any way out of it. I really wanted to be done with it all and kill myself, but the thought of leaving my family in financial distress bothered me. I spent a lot of time planning a tragic traffic accident, and applied for additional life insurance, but was denied. "Damn," I said to myself, "I can't even kill myself productively."

It was at this point, early December, that I listened to "Leveraging the Universe." It made so much sense, and I was convinced that Mike was right, because I could see very clearly how every single aspect of my unhappy life had started as a thought in my mind. I was giving FULL attention to the lack, and was getting more and more of it. I quickly understood that I had incredible manifesting power, and it was all pointed in the wrong direction.

The thing that really helped turn my thoughts around was Mike's emphasis on avoiding the "cursed hows." I had spent years on the hows, and it got me nothing but frustration. I immediately thought of two things that would give me great joy: having a career as a public speaker, and having a fun group of like-minded people who would join me in doing the Body-for-Life fitness program. I had no idea how to get either one of those things, but the thought of them happening really made me feel better. So every night, I envisioned myself traveling around the country, having fun talking to groups. And I imagined being involved with a fun group of people who were all doing the BFL program. Envisioning what I wanted was such an incredible relief, compared to worrying about what I didn't have.

Within TEN DAYS, two things happened: First, the speaker at our Rotary Club meeting turned out to be the director of the YMCA. She came to the meeting looking for suggestions for new programs that would fit in with their mission and be of benefit to the community. I said, "Oh, my gosh, it's WORKING," and dashed off a letter outlining my BFL idea. I offered to lead the program if she would market and host it. She agreed!

Second, I stumbled onto an internet ad from a seminar company. They were holding auditions in Dallas for people who wanted to be speakers and present their seminars across the country. The ad listed the qualifications-- some I had, and others I didn't. But I drove down to Dallas and did an audition. I am absolutely delighted to report that I will soon be traveling around the country, having fun talking to groups.

I was so ecstatic about this and the BFL class that I mentioned it to friends at church. They suggested I offer the BFL class at church, as well, so now I have TWO BFL classes. I've lost 12 pounds in 19 days, and it's been EFFORTLESS and FUN. Everybody loves the class, and I love leading it. I spend half of each session talking about how we create our ideal bodies in our heads first. There's a lot of scripture that supports thoughts becoming things, once you know how to look at it. I've done the BFL program before, but I've never made so much progress so fast. The only thing I'm doing differently is paying strict attention to my thoughts throughout the whole process. Well, I guess that means I'm doing EVERYTHING differently!

Those are the two big events, and there have been lots of smaller ones. I used to toss and turn at night, worrying. I would say to myself, "How am I ever going to get where I want to go?" Now, I sleep peacefully, knowing that I WILL get where I want to go, and it's absolutely delightful not knowing how it will happen. I pay my bills with confidence and joy, envisioning money flowing in and out of my life like air in and out of my lungs. I don't know where it's all going to come from, but it sure will be fun to find out!

I cannot put into words how much I adore this man. He is indeed a natural born speaker. Yet, he is human, something that many of the audio's that I have listened to do not addres those of us not so developed...he is self-deprecating. More than that he is funny. His sense of humor is good enough to make me laugh at 7 in the morning and make me walk into work as if I could take on the world. He does not just tell you that your thoughts became things, but that you have a responsibility for those thoughts. Just believing that and sitting on the couch waiting for a miracle is not going to work. For instance, if you knew that tomorrow would be the best day of your life and you were a fisherman, would you not do everything that could to get fish or would you just sit on the couch and wait for the fish to come? That is pretty strange as he states. Throw a ball to the Universe, it may not seem to make a difference at the time, but you never know until you throw the ball. What about you decide on the one person who will be your soul mate? You know what 20 or 30 people? The Universe knows 30 billion, let it decide. I encourage anyone to listen to Mike, he can make you laugh and feel better about yourself as well.

Mike Dooley has 'opened the door of my mind'...to all things possible..
His boundless enthusiasm and delivery of his subject woke me up and carried me along with it, filling me with excitement at his discoveries, and the truth of them. If everyone practised all Mike Dooley preaches, what an amazing world we would have - for real! I know how my own life has changed since absorbing his principles - and from now on, how much better it will always be!

"Leveraging the Universe..." is a truthful tool for everyday living. "...each objective or conscious being is a magnet who attracts what he thinks. Your mind is always doing this. The trick is to do it purposefully and with forethought." Mike Dooley communitcates this knowledge in a humorous way and gives us tools to incorporate this power into our every day lives. An important contribution to mankind.

This is an excellent program. Very entertaining; and the best part is that it really shows you how to become conscious of how powerful your speaking is.

Love Mike's words, so inspiring and true with lots of wisdom sprinkled with laughter. You cannot help but giggle as Mike relates his adventures.

Mike Dooley gives great insight to how to use what "The Secret" tells us about in the movie. His humor makes it even more entertaining as well.....Well worth the investment.

This book will open you to the possibilities that thoughts become things and it will give you a glimpse into the law of attraction. I listened over and over and this book was a large stepping stone in my spiritual journey. I am truly thankful that it came to me at the proper time when I needed it most. That's how it works!
