Book Description

Trouble follows Caleb Holden like a lost puppy. This time, it might just be more than he can handle. If he has any hope of surviving he must rely on the help of his friends and incorporeal teacher, Jeeves. Death looms, a promise to anyone its dark hand clutches. In this heart-pounding sequel in the Fist of Light Series, blood and betrayal will reign supreme.

Leviathan is approximately 90,000 words long and stands alone, but builds on The Seven.

About the Author

Derek Edgington was born in Pleasanton, California. Like all teenagers, he was unsure of what path he wanted to take for the future. So many choices, each decision with a different outcome. During this time of indecision, school and obsessive reading prevailed, with the daily grind of life taking its usual toll. Then, like it was always meant to be, writing clicked into place. Like a bug you can't quite get rid of, it forces him to write, write, write. He plans to make sure that each successive book is an improvement on the one before. Writing is a passion, but it's more than that for him. It's what makes him tick, what drives him forward and grounds him in reality.

4.0 out of 5 stars awesome follow up... November 10, 2012

ok, so... the story continues as they say... this was a really fun read, and, altho, not QUITE as fast as the first book, it was definitely a little more fun and it flowed really well w alot of the main characters stories already established, as in- there wasn't too much backstory stuff.
great read and not easy to put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars Vivid and imaginative... March 22, 2014

Derek's command of literary prose and deep, imaginative, world building pull the reader in. The characters are vibrant, and the story richly explored. A great follow up for Caleb Holden from Seven, but it can stand alone. Great weekend book!

3.0 out of 5 stars meh.... March 28, 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When reading this it felt good being rejoined with the comraderie of the charecters that I had become invested in from rye last book. Unfortunately there was really only one part of the story that I found interesting which involves a arena. I think if the author had capitalized that part of the story it would getting 5 stars. The ending was so dull and made the main charecter look like such a wimp I found myself skipping pages and skimming most of it. Solid read if you like that kind of thing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Wonderful December 26, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Great book, and really looking forward to more in the series. This being the second book, it tends to be the worst in most series, but I think this was an improvement on the first book, and hope for the continuation of this trend in the books to come from this young author. Love the growth and development we saw in many characters other than Caleb. This, and the previous book, are the types that can get the reader really attached to more than just the main character. Only problem I had was the amount of spelling or grammatical errors, or the insertion of some unnecessary words on a few occasions, but they were only very minor annoyances and I could easily get past them. Overall a great book and looking forward to more.

More About the Author

Derek Edgington is a seventeen-year-old teen from the small town of Pleasanton, California. He was used to a life of relative transience within the district, and has faced his own challenges throughout his short, but eventful life. The tools he holds in highest regard are his ability to see clearly, most of the time, and his drive to succeed in anything he set his will against. He sought a creative outlet in songwriting, dawdled drastically in poetry, but found both to be far out of his scope or breadth. His artistic talents are famed for their stick figures and abstract qualities within the realm of Photoshop, for that is the only way you can describe inadequacy in graphic art. Derek finds it incredibly surreal to write about himself in the third person.

There was, however, one thread of opportunity that remained, the silver lining that could not be ignored. Being a prolific reader within the realm of Sci-Fi and Fantasy, one could only expect to pick up a thing or two, if only by reverse osmosis. He tried and failed to write his first two novels at 12 and 14, but found that he hadn't yet developed the depth of thought for such an undertaking. At 17 he tried again, the writing flowed in a way which he had never experienced, and The Seven was born.
