Nice set which my daughter likes and wears (and she is picky). Wool is not scratchy or too harsh. I would not recommend for a child over 5 as the gloves are only just big enough for my daughter who is 5.

I bought the hat and gloves for both of my young children, ages 4 and 7. We live in high country where we get several feet of snow and we have already put these items to use. They worked really well, the gloves are not waterproof, but still they kept my children's hands and heads warm. I would recommend these cute gloves and the matching hat to anyone with children.
