These pants are great except for one thing... They are long in the crotch...

What does that mean exactly? It means that if you don't want to wear your pants like Urkel, then your crotch will sag pretty far down... while its not too terrible while standing, it can become bothersome when you sit; "Bothersome How?" you might ask... well, to be blunt... it looks like you are pitching a constant tent while sitting... Now maybe that's a good selling point for some of you guys out there, good pants for first dates perhaps... Just kinda sit back and let her go "Whoa!"... until the pants come off, then it will be "awww :("...

Now you might be thinking "You probably bought the wrong size!", but I assure you! I purchased a size that I can comfortably wear without the need of a belt. (What's the wrong size got to do with it you may ask? Well if you buy a waist too big, when you cinch it up with a belt, you get a bulge of extra fabric somewhere... usually the crotch... Pro-tip guys!)

So overall, good pants... good quality and good fit... except for the crotch...

I ordered these Levi's 557 Straight Leg Boot Cut Freebirds last Friday (2/26/2010) and received them yesterday (3/2/2010). They are exactly what I had hoped for. I wear a tough size to find, 34X36's, and gave up a long time ago on finding that size in stores, so have been settling for 34X34's for a LONG time. Found these on Amazon.com last week, for $32 instead of the Retail Price of $44. Shipping is free on denim so I went for it, even though I was skeptical because I never bought a pair of 557's before, let alone have never bought clothes of any kind online. Received them and they are PERFECT. Love the "freebird" color/wash, and the cut is as close as you can get to perfect for my taste and style. Not skin tight, and not baggy. At 33 years old, that's what I'm looking for. I attached two pictures of these (check em out in the customer pictures for these jeans) after I took them out of the box so you can see the views I was wishing I had of these before ordering them. Can't lose with Levi's, it's official. They're making a big comeback in recent years. Amazon ROCKS and Levi's are great too. Ok, I'm going back to shopping. Enjoy!

I love Levis and I love the cut. Shopping at all my brick and mortar stores locally I was sad to see that the Levis 557 were no longer in stock and the ones that I would find were the least desirable color/washes. Thank you both Levis and Amazon for not only carrying this cut but carrying the varying washes. I'm 6'2" 225lb and this cut is really comfortable. I wear these to work and are still work appropriate yet are stylish. The Levis store locally only carry the skinny jeans / similar or ones that have holes on them. These were perfect and Amazon ships to APO which is a plust.

When it comes to jeans my husband will only wear Levi's. I was thrilled to find them on Amazon for a great price, free shipping and no sales tax. I love the freebird color. You can't go wrong with these jeans.

I was very pleased with the fit, quality, fabric weight, price and cut of these jeans. One comment on the color: I would have liked Amazon to have
indicated in the description of the product the fact that the front of the jeans shows a distressed or washed-out color of gray down the legs. I would have preferred a solid gray.

I purchased these jeans online, never really bought jeans online. I knew my sizes and when it came it was a perfect fit. Shipping didnt take long. I got what I order. Can not complain about it.

The relaxed boot cut jeans are very comfortable. I think they run a bitt big, but that is probably where the "relaxed" comes from.

I was pleasantly surprised to find that these are the exact same 557's I've gotten at local stores for about the same price shipped.
They fit identically and Amazon always has my size - I don't have to go to a bunch stores to find the wash/size/and style I'm looking for - not to mention the choice of 7 washes/colors. I have no reason to go pants shopping ever again.

I could'nt find my 557 Levi's anymore at the department store. They told me they quit making them. Luckly I found them on Amazon.com, so I bought them at a good price. They fit me like any one at the department store and look without any damage. I wanted to buy another as soon as I got my pants in the mail but I guess I should relax since the price went up from $32.99 to $34.99. Everything else looks O.K. Thanks Amazon.com
