Awesome on women,

I got a pair of these at the goodwill about a year ago, and they became some of my favorite jeans! So I looked them up to see if I could find another pair before these ones fall apart. To my surprise, I discovered that these are men's jeans. What a shocker, right? Not to be crude, but my ass looks so awesome in these pants that I would never suspect them to be intended for... gasp... the manlier half of the species. In retrospect, I suppose this makes a certain amount of sense. They aren't thigh-squeezingly tight, and have a nice, rather flared leg, two things which are unusual in womens' pants. Also, another (male) reviewer DID complain about a lack of room in the behind area, which could presumably result in the tighter look preferred by (or just marketed to?) females in that area. Regardless, I like these jeans, and now I have color options!

Great Price for a Great Jean,

I've worn 527 for about 5 years and I was heartbroken when EMS had to rip through my oldest pair when I dislocated my knee. Thankfully, Amazon has the same great color (Indie Blue) in my hard to find size (33-32)!
The pants are true to Levi's fit. They look even better with age, so wear them out and wash them to get you're own unique look. These pants fit me will; Tastefully low on the waist, and just baggy enough that it can be worn with just about anything. I mix mine up with classic shoes like Converse, Tigers or Vans. They fall on the shoe just right and as the heel gets torn-up, will start to take on a rocker look. Try them out. For the price, they really can't be beat.

I've bought these jeans at a department store some time ago. They work out great while riding my motorcycle. The size I where are hard to find, they're alway out. Using the internet and Amazon, I'll never waste my time and fuel again.

The jeans themselves are excellent. Everything from the fabric to the color to the quality is top-notch, but unfortunately it seems the 527 cut just isn't comfortable.
To be perfectly frank, these jeans are too tight in the crotch - way too tight. It's not the wrong size, since the waist fits perfectly - snug enough to feel good, loose enough that it's fine without a belt. But the crotch region is way too short, making these really painful to drive in... though they fit great if you're standing all day. Now I'm on the lookout for slighter more loose jeans in the hip and a lot longer in the crotch. My advice is to try these out at your local Target or Walmart before buying - you might be surprised.

Good if you like that sort of thing but some people may not be too keen on it. These are my new favorite jeans.

An odd fit,

I've always been partial to Levi's for a number of reasons, not least of which is the recent proliferation of so-called 'boutique' brands that want upwards of $[...] for a pair of jeans. Good ol' Levi's are still as affordable as ever, and they've done a great job at producing a wide array of fits and styles that offer something for just about everyone.
Levi's 527 low-rise boot-cut jeans, however, are not for me. I love boot-cut jeans because boots are a staple of my wardrobe, and the 527s are certainly stylish pants. Their fit, however, seems a little odd. It's not that they're necessarily tight pants, though they are snug in the thighs. The real issue with these pants is their failure to provide any significant space for the gluteus maximus, if you will. It's not even that they are tight, it's just that there is no place for your butt in these pants. The clincher is that 527's are actually loose in the waist on me. Yes, odd as it sounds, they are snug in the thighs, non-existent in the rear, and loose in the waist. The 527s seem to be intended for the board-straight models you see in Levi's ads. I am a relatively large person (6'4" 230 lbs), but not even remotely fat (I wear a 34" waist). I lift weights regularly and I'm definitely not thin. I have an other-than-flat posterior and my thighs are probably quite a bit larger than those of the average teenage boy. These pants, suffice it to say, do not seem to be intended for grown men. It's a shame, because I like the washes and overall look of the jeans, just not the fit. Bottom line: thin is in for the 527s. Those who take up a little more space should explore other clothing options.

I had looked EVERYWHERE for jeans that would fit my tall and slim son--even the Levi's website, but there were no 30x34's to be found--except here on Amazon. With just a week until school was to start, you saved us!

I am not sure if Levi's changed the design, but the thighs on these are tighter than normal boot cut jeans.
They fit well, but I can fit slim fit jeans. Others who normally do not wear slim fit, may find these uncomfortable

My advice for anyone ordering online is def to try before buying. This is because the 527 are cut to fit the hip and not the waist. Back in the day when i first switched to these the numbering was waist and inseam, however they switched over to hip and inseam to create a more accurate view of whom it fits. So i was once a 33x34 and now i am a 36x34, so i suggest going to the store to try them on and find your precise size. cuz i am athletic in build and all my other waists are 32 or 33 but these do NOT fit that sort of measurement
