Levi's 529 Misses Misses Curvy Mid Rise Bootcut Jean

I was at JC Penney looking for Tint Jeans, which they no longer make. I was VERY upset, and was browsing around the rest of the jeans, and found the Levi's 529 Curvy Boot Cut Jean - I gave them a whirl. They are AMAZING - great fit, elongate my legs nicely, make my butt look good - and the best part: NO GAP at the back of the waist!!! Huzzah!

One caveat, at least on the ones I found at JC Penney (and I checked multiple pairs): the dark wash ones ran about 1" longer in the inseam than the lighter wash, making the dark ones too long for me.

Finally I found a jean that fits very nicely. I have full hips and thighs and sometimes bootcut jeans are narrow at the knee, which makes my thighs look bigger than they are. Not this bootcut jean. There's not too much narrowing at the knee and the bootcut balances out the hips, which creates a slimming effect. My curves are enhanced, not hidden or exaggerated. A great jean! There are two issues, however. One is that they seem to stretch a little after the first wash, so if you buy a pair that is a little snug, no worries. The second issue is length. I'm 5'5", average height, and I had to try a number of the jeans (in the same colors) to get a few pairs that weren't several inches too long or an inch too short. The length varies by as much as 4 inches. So be prepared to go through a few to get one in the right length. I still give these jeans the highest rating, though, because of the fit!

These pants are a true miracle. Do you look for pants that fit near the waist, as well as your hips, and always end up with a gap at the back that is uncomfortable wearing a belt and threatens to show your undies if you don't?? Well, these are your jeans. They fit well and are comfortable throughout the thigh and hip area, and actually come up to the natural waist in the back and dip a little in the front so the button is not right at your belly button, but a more towards the center of the belly.

I love mine so much after buying the first pair I came back and bought my full fluctuating size range in different colors! When you find jeans that fit this well, buy more than one pair!

I HATE shopping for jeans! I am not a large woman, but am curvy. I have always been small in the waist but, well, plump in the booty area. It is really depressing for me to shop for pants/jeans because I can never find jeans in my size that fit all areas (waist, hips and butt). My husband is one that can go anywhere and pick something out and looks great. We were at Kohls and he was shopping. I was wondering afraid to try anything on. Finally, I saw Levi's Curvy Jeans. What was this... so, curious, I tried them on in the size I normally would (one size too big, so they would fit my butt). They were too big! So I grabbed my normal size (6/8) and tried them on. It fit!! Perfectly! There was NO GAP at the waist, not even when I sat down, and the fit was amazing in my hips and butt area. I ran to show my husband. These have since been the only jeans I will buy and have become a favorite for myself and my husband.He likes they way they look. I recommend these to any woman that has the same problems I do, you will NOT be disappointed.

I have a pair of these in size 6 from about a year ago and they fit great; I'm actually wearing them right now. Ordered two more pair in size 6: insanely too small! The waist band is literally 4" smaller (I measured).

Returned and ordered two in size 8, and again, way smaller than the size 6 I own., About 3.5" this time. I'm returning these as well.

I haven't gained any weight in this period of time, if anything I've lost weight. It seems like the quality is extremely inconsistent. I wish I could still find these jeans in the stores in my area and not be forced to order online.

I love my new Levi's Curvy 529's. Just before ordering them I bought a pair at the Levi store in Germany where I live, and way over paid (like $100). The Levi's 529 fit better than my expensive Levi's and they have a little stretch for when I move around. My hips and thighs are little big for my body and they fit perfectly. Also, I like the slightly higher in the back feature cause I work at a pre-school and am always sitting on the floor - they're great! They did shrink just the tiniest bit after the first wash, but not too bad.

These jeans fit very well through the waist and hips with no gap in back. It has been very difficult to find them long enough. The light washes definately run shorter than the dark by 2 to 4 inches. (Even when state the same length) Ive been on the lookout for 36 or even "38+" inch lengths, but without much success. (I usually only need a true 34 or 36 inseam) I noticed they try to sell many "32"s; the length issue may be a reason. Those of you who find some too long...at least you can hem them up! These are great if you can find the length you need. I keep hoping to find longer ones somewhere.

I was so excited when I bought these jeans about 8 months ago. They fit in the thighs AND in the waist! I've never found jeans that fit my figure so well (big thighs, small waist). Alas, the fabric is NOT up to Levi's standards. I've worn them some, but not excessively. I wore them to work last week. When I got home, I found that the fabric had separated along the edge of one of the back pockets. It just tore alone the weave. The jeans are not tight, so there was no extra stress there. It's just poor quality. I have a pair of Levi's that belonged to my brother in the '70s. My mother took them when my brother outgrew them. I eventually got them when Mom couldn't wear them anymore. They are still in great shape. That is the quality I expected from Levi's, so I am very disappointed in these jeans and will not buy another pair.

I am so glad that someone has finally made a pair of jeans that fit me! These almost entirely eliminate that gap in the back and are really comfortable. Big butt sisters you gotta get these.
It would be nice if the fit was more consistant - I have four pair and each is a different length. Wish I could find some khaki's that fit this good. Love 'em - buy 'em.

Wow - I bought these based on the reviews and my frustration with Jeans. I am very curvey, like a size 6-8 waist, and 10-12 rear. Most the time there is a gap, even in "no-gap" pants, when I get them to fit my hips, and I tug them up all day - these are the real deal, fit perfect, look fantastic - I was afraid they would accentuate the pear-shaped-ness, but instead, they are very flattering! I will buy only these from now on!
