Levi's 512 Misses Petite Perfectly Slimming Boot Cut Jean with Tummy Slimming Panel, Truffle, 10P

I bought two pairs of these for the lady of the house recently. One was indigo rinse, the other medium rinse. (The lady doesn't like those flashy pre-worn, pre-faded styles.) Here is her report:

Although both pairs of these jeans were ordered and shipped at the same time, the (darker colored) indigo rinse pair was made of thin, summerweight fabric; the (lighter-colored) medium rinse pair was a standard jeans weight, suitable for this time of year. Summer will come again, and both pairs are useful, but the disparity in the fabrics should have been noted in the description.

These jeans do not have the same slim cut as a pair bought at the mall earlier this year. When laid under the older jeans, these legs show a straight-line cut from the hip to the hem (with more room in the upper leg area) when compared with the earlier cut, which was slightly tapered to the knee area.

Also, the distinctive Levi's red-printed label has been replaced with a quieter brown-on-tan version, and the traditional Levi's copper-colored rivets have been toned down to an antique brass-colored finish.

The "slimming panel" (fabric of the pockets extended across the interior front part of the jeans) remains the same.

Conclusion: Levi's jeans remain iconic, but this version seems to have had a few revisions lately.

These jeans in black are the best fitting jeans I have ever owned. Buy them now before the price goes back up -- they are usually $34 at least !! Don't make the mistake of ordering a size marked PS (example: 10PS) -- the PS length is 27.5 inches; the PMedium length is 29 inches unless you know you need the shorter length. I bought two pairs from Macys earlier this year and am buying more today.

I bought a pair of these last year, size 6P Medium, and I LOVE the way they fit and look. But in ordering this pair in a different color I found that even though it was the same style and size, it was much smaller! I ended up having to return it.

Bought these in the traditional blue and they fit perfectly - loved 'em - then ordered them in black, same size - and they were measurably two sizes smaller. Very disappointed - returned.

I read the reviews and purchased a size larger than I normally would and the black perfectly slimming jean still was too small. I have this same jean in the blue colors in my regular size and they fit great....I don't understand why there is such a large difference in sizing. Purchasing another size larger would make the already 2-3 inch too large waistband even larger, so I give up. I need a nice fitting black jean for small waist and larger hips-any ideas??

Although I like the fit, the pants come in different petite lengths. These were sent to me in petite medium and are about an inch and a half too long. It defeats the purpose of buying them at a good sale price if you have to take them to be shortened. Other than that, they fit good and wash well. I definitely would recommend, but check the length first.

I am only 5'1" and very curvy. I purchased a size 14 petite short at Macy's a couple weeks ago and found myself in a situation that i'd never been in before, I wasn't walking on my jeans! I have also found that unlike my Old Navy jeans these Levi's have a stretch but I am able to purchase pants my size not a size lower. I don't have saggy bottem issues and my mommy belly is nicely smoothed down. The rise is a little high but I don't have any gapping and I was able to do some serious yard work without any issues. My only complaint is the back pocket detals a little tacky but my butt looks so good that it isn't really a big deal. All in all beautiful pants.

It should be noted in the product detail section that this particular style ("Unscripted") features faux studding on the pockets. Awful. After receiving these I went back to double check the product description and pictures. If you zoom into the back view really close you can see the studs, but at the normal view, it just looks like the standard trademark "Levis" pocket stitching.

I liked the fit of these jeans but had to return them for a size larger than any of my other jeans are.

I'm 5'2" with a long rise, short legs, slimmer rear and thighs, so the lower rise jeans tend to slip down my rear without being tightly belted, especially when made of stretch denim. These jeans fit perfectly, stay up without strangling my waist. My only criticism is the fairly non-functional pockets in the front--too short for anything but some coins or a bill or two. Oh well, the fit is great otherwise.
