Just right!,

These petite short jeans fit me perfectly. I'm short (5'1 1/2") 100 lbs, and am so glad that somebody is still making true petite clothing, made in the past made for women 4'10"- 5'3".
The rise and inseam are shorter in petite sizes than on misses and juniors clothing and will seem 1 size smaller to those used to wearing clothing in those categories. If you're over 5'3" choose the petite regular length. It's 29" long. The petite short is 27 1/2" long. Thanks, Levis, for not forgetting about us that are short and hate hemming jeans! I'll be buying a lot more pants from you!

I ordered the size 4 "petite regular" (as opposed to the "petite short"), and the inseam just about hits the floor when I wear flats. I think these would be too short for anyone over 5'1". As for overall fit, they fit exactly. Like skin. They are quite fitted through the hip and thigh. Thank goodness for spandex! I do like the fit very much...finally, jeans that don't get me comments about how I look like I'm wearing hand-me-downs from my big brother. The waistband hits just about at the waist for me, as I'm quite short-waisted. I'd prefer it to sit lower, but it's not uncomfortable. The denim itself is a lighter weight since it is stretch denim. Oh, I do think these fit a curvy girl, because although my hips are narrow, I've got junk in my trunk, and these accomodate my junk nicely (another fit problem for me because many jeans brands are cut to accomodate wider hips and no butt). For the price I'm buying another pair!

Smallish,

These jeans are both tighter and shorter than I thought they would be. When I ordered these jeans, I already owned a pair of 515 Stretch Bootcut Jeans. The jeans I had were so enormous that I decided to order one size smaller in the Petite jeans. I think the "petite" designation really changes things. These jeans feel ten times smaller than my other ones. However, I really like the smaller fit, in the end. I've practically given up my larger ones. I do wish these were a little longer, though.

Petite Levi's 515 Stretch Bootcut Jeans,
A Kid's Review
In the past I have ordered petite clothing, but never from Amazon. When they say petite they mean petite. I am only 5'4 inches and they are too short for me. Perhaps I should've order Regular.

Used to fit me!,

I am 5'4", 145lb, 28" waist, not apple or pear shaped (fat distributed kind of evenly). The petite 6 regular (29" inseam) fits me like a glove, just a tiny bit loose around the waist band. I haven't washed the jean yet therefore I don't know if it'd shrink (according to a few Zappos reviewers, it won't). The pressed black is a very dense black. Again, a few zappos reviewers said that the color did not fade after washing.
29" inseam is a good length for wearing flats or heels less than an inch. I wish it'd come in 30" inseam so that I can wear shoes with a bit of heel. Overall, I am pretty happy with this jean. It looks good enough to wear to work. Update 5-31-2011 I lost 30lb since December 2010 therefore these jeans no longer fit me. The petite size 0 is perfect for me now (5'4" 115lb 25" waist).

I'm only 4'11" and these are among the few jeans that fit me well without alterations. It's always been hard to find jeans that fit but these are perfect.

Currently own 2 other perfectly fitting pairs of the EXACT style, fit & size jean - only difference is the color. These black ones are at least a full size smaller. Won't risk ordering "a sure thing" again as I'm out my return shipping costs.

These are now my favorite jeans. They are a bit slender through the thighs, so if you are like me, prone to large thighs, you'll feel these snuggly. The rise is perfect for me, but then I'm pretty short -- 4'10''.

The Levi's 515 Petite Mid Rise Reg. Boot Cut Jeans don't fit properly. First off, these "mid rise" jeans fit more like low rise. I'm a size 2. The leg portion fits fine, width and length-wise. They weren't too short and fit just below my ankles. However, I could barely fit the jeans over my hips. I don't know, I'm 5'3, 112lbs. Should I really be having this much trouble getting these jeans on? I'm thin but curvy. These jeans are definitely not made for a woman with curves. Perhaps it's more for a prepubescent boy or a woman with a short, narrow behind and no hips. I returned these.

I have a pair of Levi's 515 Jeans, size 6, medium -- purchased from a local store. I am 5' 4 1/2 " and the regular size is slightly too long for me -- so I thought I'd try a petite size. When shopping at some stores I'll sometimes opt for a petite size when sleeves or pants are too long in a regular size. But not with these... if you have any kind of hips or have ever given birth to a child, I would not recommend these! The petites are on a completely different sizing scale than regular jeans. I'm not overweight, but I'm also not the same size I was in my 20's and these jeans don't even come close to fitting me. I see now that I can get a size 6 short -- and I guess that's what I need rather than a petite. So, I'm returning the petites (Thank you Amazon for the free return!) and will try the short size instead.
