These Levi's have always been my favorite jeans, but they are hard to find in stores. I finally looked online and Amazon had the best price with free shipping. These jeans are very flattering to my figure. I'm 5'7 and 150 lbs, not a plus size, but not skinny either. Classic hourglass figure - I have a small waist and flat stomach, I carry most of my weight in my hips, butt and thighs. These jeans make my bottom half look smaller and make my booty look lifted and tighter. The flare opening seems more like a boot leg to me. I love how the waist band is tilted because it gives you a nice low rise in the front, but a higher rise in the back so you don't show crack when you bend over! I don't need a belt with these because they sit nicely on my hips with no gaping at the back. The low rise in front is stylish and sexy. These are great for my body type, but I don't think they would look good on someone with no hips or butt. You girls are lucky enough to be able to pull off skinny jeans instead! If you're not sure what size to order, order a size down because they have stretch in them and in my opinion, Levi's run a little bigger than most other brands. I wore these jeans yesterday and I got tons of compliments. I bought the "french press" color and they are a very pretty dark wash. I plan on ordering the other 2 colors when I'm done writing this review!

These are perfect little jeans. The rear pockets are super-cute. The "tilted" waistband (higher in the rear than the front) works like a charm. My husband told me to throw away all my other (expensive designer) jeans.

I love Levi's 542 flare (which isn't really a flare as much as it is a boot cut). This pair in French Press (dark rinse) is my 5th pair. I have people comment on how cute they fit (like designer jeans but 1/4 the price). I think they look best on someone with a booty. The tipped waist is a dream so you aren't flashing back there. The legs are cut like you're bow legged and that is part of what makes them look good. That type of cut seems to slim your inner thighs without smashing your butt down! My only negative is that they start at a 4 and not smaller. What about girls that are 2 or 0? Fabulous fit!

I love these jeans, the fit is great. Very true to size. I only gave 4 stars because I wish they came in tall, they are just barely long enough. I am 5'9". The color is great, I was concerned about buying sight unseen, but am very satisfied with this purchase.

Love the style! Hate the material. I like the regular Jean material not the stretchy Jean.

I tried these jeans on at a local store. I ordered them from Amazon because the price was good and I could order multiple pairs. They have a flattering fit and look good with flat casual shoes as pictured on Amazon, but also look great with heels or boots. The flap pockets in the back are cute. I get many compliments on these jeans!

These jeans are very cute in person--nice wash, cute pockets. I'm 5'4" and they were too long for me, but not as much as some other brands I wear. I have a small waist with wide hips, classic "curvy" figure. There was no gap in the waist, which was awesome, and the tilted design seemed really great. Unfortunately, the back of these jeans seemed to have too much material between the two back pockets. There was a strange sagging effect there, and I've never ever had a pair of jeans sag off my bottom (I've always had the opposite problem!), let alone a pair that fit well everywhere else. I don't know if it was just this pair, or if it's a design thing, but I'm returning them.

These are very cute on. I got the French Press wash. The flap pockets are fairly flattering on your rear. I have a medium-size figure.

These are not a good choice for tall people, unfortunately. I am only 5'6" and these are barely long enough for me to wear with running shoes. They are still at least a half-inch off the ground. I do wish they were a bit longer. I am still going to wear them happily though.

Also, they are made in China if that is important to you. I hope they were made under good working conditions, but there's no way to tell that I know of yet.

Can someone tell me if these jeans have the tear above the left knee? I love the look but not sure about having a rip in my jeans (I am not a teenager!)

These fit of these jeans are fairly true to size, especially through the bottom and waist. Due to the flair, I think the thighs and legs are a little baggy, however, after the first wash this was rectified. The back-pockets on these have flaps on them. While this makes a very cute look, the flaps can easily become wrinkled and or creased. Additionally, I found the jeans to be very thick. For warm weather these would be very hot. Overall, they are a fairly good jean.
