I am 5'7" and I bought these pants in regular length that is just right: not too long. They look great with high heels and look relaxed with low heels. Inseam is long enough to fit perfectly. These pants are high rise - just below the belly button - this makes them comfortable and helps avoid a "muffin" top. They do make my figure slim and keep my tummy tucked as promised. Stitching is incredible - very precise. Fabric is stretchy and quality is excellent. The black color is coal black. I read the reviews for Levi's Women's 512 Boot Cut and followed the advice to buy a size smaller than usual. This made the trick: pants fit like a glove! I did not laundry them yet but there is a tag cautioning that the dye may come off and pants must be laundered inside out with similar colors. I will add a bit of vinegar during the rinse cycle to help the color last longer. This was my first time buying pants online and I never thought I would find the best fitting pair online.

I've had other pairs of Levi's 512 Perfectly Slimming jeans, not not the straight leg style. Still, I had no compunction about ordering online, because I thought I knew the sizing. Like many of the other "slimming" jeans, you usually order these 1/2 to a full size smaller than your regular size, and they fit great.

Not so with this pair. I ordered my usual size for the 512s, and I couldn't get them closed at all. Not sure if it's t he straight leg style that runs small, or the black color, or both. I wish I could comment more about them - they seemed really nice in style and color - but obviously I didn't wear them at all.

I had to return them, and I've been hesitant to reorder, even in the next larger size.

Levi's 512 straight leg jeans were my all time favorites. They disappeared and returned with a little stretch.
I ordered a pair in my usual size 4 but should have heeded another reviewers comment. They run small!! I could not get them closed. I am returning them but see I cannot get an exchange. I must now order another size and pay more than what was advertised. Not happy about that. But once I get these jeans on I will be very happy. I just wish they would make jeans in all cotton. I don't like stretch in any of my jeans!

I was tired of spending a fortune on jeans that never quite fit right for my curvy figure. These were a godsend. They fit well and are very comfortable. I recommend this product!

These Levi's Women's 512 Perfectly Slimming Straight Leg Jean really do deliver - they are very, very comfortable and they do create a slimming line. The jean fabric is a really nice weight and has a nice look. The only thing that I would not give it high marks for is pant length - much longer than usual regulars. This means I need to hem them and I really prefer the original stitching style to this method.

After avoiding jeans for years, I finally ordered a pair of Levi's. They actually fiut my aging body and look good! This was a great surprise to me as I just knew I'd end up returning them.
Not only do they fit, they actually look nice. I've worn them almost daily with plain shirts and dressy tops and felt well dressed.
I don't have a daughter, so these are not her jeans. But they could be my DIL's easily. They wash well, fit correctly and are comfortable. What more could I ask?

Years ago i LIVED in my 512 Levi's only to find them hard to find at most retail stores; thank goodness for AMAZON.COM ! the jeans are verrryy comfortable ; i'll be buying a few more pair in the new year.

These are definitely my favorite jeans; they fit nicely and can be dressed up or down easily. I have been buying them for several years & really appreciated being able to get them from Amazon and with free shipping! However, the last pair I ordered had what for me is disturbing pocket decorations in the form of a glued-on metallic stud design. This is not my style but I needed the jeans badly enough that I picked off the "studs" and was able to iron off most of the residual glue. Not an experience I want to repeat!! I notice some styles still have the "regular" pockets, which in this cut is actually in the form of a stylized version of the classic Levis pocket stitching. I really wish they would just have gone with the original design, but since they must update and "improve" the design, I'd at least like to see it clearly stated and/or shown on the photos before I buy them! Bottom line: Examine photos of each color before ordering!

I am in my 50's and don't want jeans that are low cut, these are just at my belly button. They stay tight and don't bag out and I can wear them for two days if I want. I have three pair now- 2 shades of blue and a black pair, and plan to replace all my jeans with this style. I like the slim leg, makes me look taller and thinner.

These jeans are perfect for a middle-aged woman like me... not old-lady jeans, but not the "fashionable" low-cut hip-huggin skinny jeans either! They look great and are very comfy! LOVE em!
