a good ground fault plug to replace one that was broken easy to install and would buy again

I bought this for my Softub Spa. The one listed one the Softub site is over $70! Same maker and same specs. I connected it myself in about 20 minutes.

I am in search of a site that deals with working motor and pump for Softub when the days comes that I need to work on it. Seems Softub keeps info about diagrams / schematics and repair info hush hush. Anyhow, save yoursefl a bunch of money by using this GFI gizmo for your Softub.

It was a replacement on a sewer machine. Fit and works exactly like the original. Shipping was fast.

I picked up an electric pressure washer that was bought from one of the big name home improvement stores. Someone had thrown it out because it wouldn't work. I opened up the 2 prong GFCI plug the washer came with and saw the circuit board was burned. I cut the plug off and saw that it had a ground wire that was not connected because the plug didn't have a ground prong. I did some research on the plug and found it for $45.00 at an electrical distributor on the web. I copied and pasted the manufacturer name and model number and found that Amazon had it. The plug came with simple instructions that a home owner could follow and it took 15 minutes to hook up the plug and the pressure washer worked like new. The plug is well made, the instructions even come with torque specifications for how many foot pounds of torque to tighten the screws. I didn't have a torque measuring screw driver but I didn't need it. By just turning the screws gently but firmly I was able to feel when the screw bottomed out and the cord was secured. Great engineering. I'm very happy.

Most ALL new outdoor equipment comes with one of these on the power cord (pressure washers, blowers, electric lawnmowers, etc) but the minute yours either quits working or gets damaged, the manufacturer of the product won't sell you a replacement because of liability.


Anywone can undo a few screws and put the wires on the right terminals - this is not rocket science, and with this aftermarket gfci system you maintain the protection that came with your product and avoid having to trash it for a plug that costs just a few dollars more than a normal plug would!

I'm glad this is made and upset that manufacturers won't stock these in their replacement parts lists due to liability issues. for me it saved a $180 pressure washer by replacing the broken gfci outlet that was so poorly designed it had a fine rubber cover that tore off and allowed water to get in ruining the function of the outlet.

Besides this, the aftermarket plug is better designed in how it mates with outdoor covered outlets.

We needed to replace this part on our Jacuzzi spa, and after looking the part up on their site and finding we could only buy it as part of the entire cord at a ridiculously high price, we looked elsewhere. This is exactly the part we required, at a fraction of the cost, it was easy to install and worked like a charm. I had it installed 5 minutes after opening the package and well before my husband got home from work. We had decided that for the price, if it ended up not working, it wasn't a huge loss in money or time and we would just have to replace the entire cord. I am glad we did not have to do that! We saved a lot of money using this item instead!

After the one that came equipped with the hairdryer broke. I need to replace it, in order not to throwaway a perfectly working hairdryer. Comes with instructions, pretty much anyone came install this.

Repaired a softtub jacuzzi cord. I'm sure we saved $100 by doing it ourselves. Fixed in 10 minutes. Extremely happy about that.

Just what I needed. Great product. Easy to assemble and install. Works as discribed and is exactly the same as the one needing replaced. Shipping was quick as well.

I needed to replace one of these plugs and, especially with Prime, this was the solution! Cheap and easy.
