This device could have been a little more rugged for what it's intended to do (be part of a generator cord). I was able to assemble and dis-assemble it a few times. I was lucky to get it during recent storms we had.

I bought this plug in order to make an extension cord for my generator in the case of a power outage.

The plug is well made, and was easy to use. I am generally happy with it. If you are looking for a receptacle that it will fit, try:

I looked around for a while, at home improvement stores and online, before deciding to get this one on Amazon. I then picked up the cable from the by-the-foot spools at my local home improvement warehouse. Remember... don't wait until you need it, or you won't be able to find it.

The internals were very substantial and had a good rigid insulation that protects the contacts and 1/2 of the insulated wire

This plug was purchased to make a longer feed line out of a generator. It worked just fine and was availale on Amazon when other folks had bought out all the ones in Hampton Roads.

This plug does everything a plug is suppose to do.It was easy to wire, good directions, secured the cord firmly and works fine in my generator. I had a heat related power outage last Sunday and it got it's first use.

These are half the price here than at you Lowes or other large retail stores. Works as it says and sturdy product.
