A Gateway - not a switch
Designed for the DIY - do-it-yourselfer - this 4 port internet gateway does just what it says it does. It's not a switch, but for a gateway, has 4 ports, and a plastic bracket specially made to allow you to 'click' it into matching holes inside the Leviton Media enclosures. I ran all my CAT-5 cables, cable TV lines, and phone lines through my enclosure. This worked like...

Does the job
Snaps in easily to a Leviton Structured Media Center box. Connects directly to the DSL or cable modem and then to the network module connectors for each room in the house. Worked great for about 2 years then it stopped. It just powers up- then shuts off like a short out or something. Nothing on this infinite loop restart on the Leviton troubleshooting guides. Snaps in easily to a Leviton Structured Media Center box. Connects directly to the DSL or cable modem and then to the network module connectors for each room in the house. I installed this as part of a complete Leviton Structured Media Center. I decided to replace this with an Apple Airport Extreme. I wish Leviton made a gigabit ethernet anything. Until they do- might be better to go with someone else.
