Made the mistake of thinking everything is cheaper at Amazon. These are 19.99 @ Home Depot.(regular price, same model number) Oh well, I've got some really great deals here on Amazon so a few bucks won't hurt me. Cost 5.20 to return it...so I guess I'll just keep this one. These are really nice to put on a wall you want to hang your flat screen on, allowing a flush mount.

Easy to install and solved the space issues with wall mounting TV with surge protection. However, found the product at Home Depot a couple weeks after ordering. It would have been cheaper if I bought it from the store rather than online.

I bought the receptacle to use behind the wall mounted TV I have. it was easy to install and have had no problems so far.

I'm using this surge protector to protect my projector screen and it works well for that purpose. It's the standard outlet size and looks identical to any other outlet with the exception of the green light (to let you know it is powered and protecting). I'd definitely buy this item again.

This surge supressing outlet is a great idea. It allowed me to install my television on the wall without mounting additional items (namely a surge suprresor), keeping the installation very tight to the wall. It went in easily using a recessed outlet box and gives me a great deal of confidence my electronic components will be safe from damage. The outlet is even designed to be installed with the ground facing up for safety. Nicely done.

The four stars comes from the value proposition of this device. I think $31 (as of Jun 2011) is a lot to pay for what is basically a 2-outlet surge supressor. I understand there are issues of economy of scale here (probably not too many takers on this item) but still feel that this is a high price to pay. However, it does its job.

I used this to add surge suppression to the outlet that feeds our garage door opener. It was easy to fit and that's all there really is to say ;-)

I was looking for an alternative for a new All-in-One Computer that I wanted to mount to the wall. My only problem was that I wanted and outlet behind the unit and out of site. The usual surge suppressor isn't what I want and any thing from Monster is so overpriced and bulky. So in my search i came across this product. I t was a perfect fit for what I was looking for. I have had one unit installed behind my All-in-One Computer and it's been running great for almost a year now. I'm so happy with product, I have since then purchaed 2 more for my network equipment outlet and TV outlet. The cost is right and peace of mind knowing that your equipment is safe is what it's all about.

Its a good product. I am just not crazy about the small green light, that this products emits, on the side of the room.

I have learned to live with it.

Bought this to eliminate any cords from my wall mounted HDTV. So far, works great as I wanted to protect my TV against any surges. Just wanted piece of mind to protect it.

I have used this product several times to clean up the appearance of my home theater installation (as opposed to plug-in modules). It installs as easily as a standard outlet with both back and side wiring options. Highly recommended.
