These switches are a great way to put a night light in areas where an outlet isn't available, like a stairwell, and also for a more streamlined look than a plug-in night light. They are bright and illuminate areas very well. Probably too bright for a bedroom; although the outlet model would probably be ok there, since the installation would be below eye level. One note: these require hot, neutral and ground wire connections to be available.

This is a nicely integrated nightlight that allows you to easily convert a light switch to a nightlight. I like the automatic dimmer function that dims/turns off the light if it is bright enough in the room and not just the switch controlling the nightlight. The only problem with installing it is that it requires separate neutral to function, which might not always be available.

Perfect solution for our bathroom. Toilet room has no receptacle but needed a nightlight so as to not blind yourself at night or wake up the spouse when the toilet flushes. Replaced original fan switch with this. Original fan switch did not have a white (neutral) wire but in the box were a couple of white wires c/o the 14/2 wiring used.
