My parents had recently remodeled their kitchen, when I saw the kitchen I noticed how bad the old plate covers looked. As a present I purchased them all new stainless steel plate covers. It really upgraded the look in the kitchen, unlike other areas of the hosue you really notice the plates because they're all at eye level. These cost more upfront but the look in the kitchen was worth it. For about $40 i am really happy with the overall look.
