Looks good overall-- materials aren't high-end, but neither is the price. Easy to mount and set up.

This curtain rod had a different design than most I've encountered. It includes two larger-diameter (end) rods, and a third, smaller diameter inner rod. The result is that without modification (i.e., cutting), you can use the rod a ~44" long (one outer rod), 88" long (two outer rods with the inner rod concealed), or between 88-120" long (with the inner rod exposed). For intermediate dimensions between 44 and 88 inches, you'd have to get out the hack saw. Overall finish is acceptable. The end caps are plastic, but once mounted, (black color), you can't really tell. The kit comes with four rod mounting brackets, which I don't really get, as you'd have to have three separate curtains to use all four brackets.

OK for an entry curtain rod,

These curtain rods look good from afar, but up close feel a bit plastic-y. I guess most people don't feel curtain rods so it is probably OK. They are not heavy duty rods but hold the curtains fine. Once they are in place though and you step back they are pretty nice.My only real concern is that they are too far away from the wall. I bought them for these black-out curtains: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001A67EFC/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=onsitereviews-20&linkCode=as2&camp=1789&creative=9325&creativeASIN=B001A67EFC And there is light leakage from the top of the curtains due to this rod. I guess the rod was not designed for blackout curtains. As a benefit though the mounts are large enough to fit over my blinds on the sliding glass door. Overall a good entry level curtain rod.

I needed an extra long curtain rod for a row of three windows in my living room. This rod was easy to install and looks very nice. Definitely has a contemporary, almost industrial look - I like it, but it might clash with a more classically designed room. The mission style end-caps are plastic-y when you are close up to them, but from the floor they look fine with the black metal of the rod. The rod itself is shiny black, as in the picture. The brackets are quite long and not adjustable, so the rod is held approx 3.75 inches (center) out from the mounting surface, something you might want to consider. For longer extensions you need to use brackets on each end and one in the middle, and they are very noticeble as part of the rod - they look like hardware rather than like decoration, so if that matters to you, you might want to look for something else that costs more, or plan to use a swag to cover them up. I use curtain rings with clips to hold heavy blackout drapes. I have to pull the drapes gently over the seam where the two sections of the rod meet, but that has not been a problem. Overall, very satisfied with the looks, ease of installation, and durability of this rod, especially considering the price.

I purchased this along with some curtains to replace a set of vertical blinds. This curtain rod is very inexpensive and I think you get a good value for the price that you pay. It can be made quite long, which is a plus, but it is slightly flimsy and thin.

I ended up having to extend this out to nearly the full 120" to cover the width of my window. It even came with supports for the middle of the rod to prevent bowing but even with very heavy blackout curtains on the rod it didn't require the middle supports. It is very heavy duty steel that they use for it. Being the Levolor brand, I was not displeased!
