The only reason I'm going for 4 rather than 5 stars is the cheesy plastic finials. The rods themselves are nice looking and solid though, and from a distance the finials look fine, at least so far.

both ends are made of plastic. looks cheap if you stare at it.. but ok from a far.functionality is good for the price

The rod appears cheap out of the package and feels quite light. However, it looks good on the wall. It is also able to hold a heavy set of blackout curtains. Good for the price.

Rods are metal, finnials are plastic but you can't tell when they're on the wall. Couple things I wish I'd known: 3/4 inch diameter rod is pretty darn skinny, so if you want a more robust look, this won't give it. Also, the mounting brackets come out about 4 inches from the wall, which is a lot, I think. Other curtain rods in our house only come out about 2 inches from the wall. But I'm happy with this curtain rod for the cost, and it's exactly as promised.

I tool the closet doors off my son's closet and put up a canvas curtain instead. I needed a curtain rod that was sturdy and could take the wear and tear of a boy. This fit the bill. Easy to install. Looks great with nice finish. The finials are a cheaper finish than the rod, so that would be my only complaint, but you don't notice it on the wall. Have had several compliments and my neighbor purchased similar ones at a department store for a lot more money.
