I purchased this strap for my bass player husband. It's a very nice, heavy duty strap that will surely stand the test of time through many band practices and shows. Especially for a bass player, this strap is so much more comfortable than the basic strap. He doesn't have to put his bass down every so often to give his shoulder a rest with this strap.

I'm a huge fan of Levy's guitar straps. The only problem is getting the right one without actually putting your hands on them. Here are my thoughts on a number of Levy's straps.

First off, I think it's worth it to spend some money on your guitar strap. If you want to feel spoiled when you put your guitar on, get a nice looking strap.

An important secondary benefit is the comfort. Even my heavy Epiphone Les Paul (almost 10 pounds) feels good with a nice, wide padded strap.

Levy's straps are among the best on both accounts. I have four Levy's straps and feel I've had varying levels of success in getting what I wanted. Here's a little info on each of them.

Levy's Leathers PM32-BLK Garment Leather Strap with Foam Pad,Black While this strap is comfortable, it is rather plain. It has an embossed Levy's logo on it. This was the least expensive strap that I bought, and it does the job, but is not so inspiring putting it on. In all honesty, I wish I would have spent a little more to get a nicer looking strap. Odds are that I will have this strap for decades and for another $5-$30 I could have gotten something really spectacular.

Levy's Leathers MSS1-BLK Veg Tan Leather Guitar Strap,Black This strap is similar to PM32 but has a brown logo on it. The logo adds a lot as it is front and center on the strap. This strap cost $10 more than PM32 and in my opinion is well worth the extra ten bucks. (But I regret not going two tone with this strap.

I recently acquired a '02 P-bass and decided to treat myself to some new accessories, including a strap. I sauntered over to Guitar Center on 14th Street. While it had a wide selection, nothing really caught my eye other than the rather pricey numbers. I came home and hit up Amazon to see what it had. This strap seemed perfect - wide but not too wide. I read the reviews and was concerned about the stiffness of the leather where the strap attached to the bass but after it arrived I experienced zero issues with that. I played a 3 hour gig a week later and was happy with the feel and how my shoulder and back felt after it was over. Looks good and a great price.

I had read reviews, good and bad, prior to ordering this particular strap for a second guitar,so wasn't 100% sure I'd be happy with choice, but as it was for a 'spare' guitar, decided to order it anyway. I am very happy with it. It is comfortable, soft pliable leather, and because I suffer from advanced spondylitis of the neck, the extra width of the strap and the padding, spreads the weight evenly over the neck and shoulder area. Not as 'pretty' as some of Levy's other straps, but extremely good value.

I was really excited to get such a nice looking guitar strap. However, I ordered the tan strap and received a strap that was much much darker in color. It was a russet/orange color. I was very disappointed. They should change the picture color as it does not reflect the actual product whatsoever. If you are planning on getting the Tan strap, be warned, it is orange and not like the image at all. Very very disappointed and unhappy with this.

This was the second Levy's Leather Strap I've purchased and the quality is superb and unmatched in value. It has been one of my best investments. If you play a quality instrument, a Levy Leather is the only way to go. I've had my first strap for over 12 years, and I still get musicians drooling over my strap. These straps are definitely (5) five stars.

What a nice, comfortable strap. I put Schaller strap locks on this as soon as it arrived, and it makes every guitar I own more comfortable, especially my heavy Les Paul. *Very* durable. I wear mine not too high, not too low. Really relieves the strain I was feeling between my outer shoulder and neck due to its width and padding. I might even splurge and get another just because they're so comfortable and one in black would be nice too. I am very pleased!
