This review is from: Lewis & Clark (Audio CD)
"Lewis and Clark" is a CD of sixteen songs from a production featuring music dedicated to, or from the period of, the Lewis and Clark expedition (1804 and 1805). It includes traditional music, modern music written for the production, and Native American music. All songs are well performed by The Trail Band, and its guests (Thomas Mourning Owl and Arlie Neskahi). Among the songs are: "French Canadian Medley"; "The Rose Tree"; "Up the Missouri"; "Donkey Riding", "The Butterfly Song"; "Yakama Round Dance"; and "Heart of Gold". The eight members of the band show their musical skills with acoustic and frontier-period instruments throughout the songs. Additionally, they show their vocal skills as they use five different lead singers, not including their two guest lead singers. Great music and a good history lesson.
