4.0 out of 5 stars Nice and Dry
This was a great buy for the price! I wanted to take my iPod shuffle with me when I swam laps, but I didn't want to spend a fortune. So far (3 weeks) the bag has keep my Shuffle high and dry. I read reviews for similar products and noticed most people found it difficult to get their gear into and out of their bags. I'd say it's moderately tricky getting the shuffle...

item leaks.
my Ipod was destroyed when I used it in a pool.
company told me they'd refund my money for the pouch but the Ipod was my problem.
DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT, IT IS NOT WATERPROOF.
your Ipod, or whatever else you put in it, will be soaked.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice and Dry, June 26, 2008
This review is from: Lewis N. Clark WaterSeals standard Waterproof MP3 or IPOD pouch (Apparel)
I'd say it's moderately tricky getting the shuffle safely down into the bag past all three seals. I give myself an extra five minuets or so whenever I have to get it in or out to charge. Once its safely sealed up, it's quite easy to use the Shuffle's controls though I do take the precaution of turning on the tiny little power switch before it goes in the bag, that might be difficult to do through the plastic.

The strap is adjustable and the earphones are perfectly adequate, though not super comfortable. The only downside, and the reason for four stars instead or five is that the clip to attach the headphone cable to my swimsuit has already broken, as it was made of very light plastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Swim & Listen to Music, It is waterproof!!!!, May 25, 2009
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lewis N. Clark WaterSeals standard Waterproof MP3 or IPOD pouch (Apparel)
I have used this product for the past 2 and half years. It is a great invention! The speakers that come with the waterproof pouch have great sound! You simply trim the ear-buds to your liking. I usually cut one notch off. Then I can swim, and do water aerobics without any problems. Just make yourself a playlist, turn on your Ipod, lock the Ipod, insert Ipod into the pouch, connect the wire to your Ipod. It has 3 zip-locks and a velcro flap, speakers with clip for your swimsuit for the headphones and a cord I attach to my upper arm around the shoulder/arm and get moving. It is great! I love being able to listen to music and exercise. It is not made for deep diving. I do not find this to be a problem! I will keep on buying these, they are great and are durable, without being bulky.I buy the standard size for my large Ipod, but I have the smaller version for my nano.Just a lot of fun and you get a great workout!!I tried other brands, more $ and found those to be only splash-proof, and not waterproof. This is a really great product and the price is great too!!!!

it works perfectly. But you have to keep it in your ears when your in the water. If water gets into the headphones they won't work for a couple hours.

This worked well for me at first, but it didn't take long to split down the seam from the top making the seals useless.

5.0 out of 5 stars Makes laps easier, July 7, 2008

This review is from: Lewis N. Clark WaterSeals standard Waterproof MP3 or IPOD pouch (Apparel)
I bought this for use while swimming laps. I used to have a freesytle player, which was fine, but a bit finicky to find the track I wanted. This worked great- the waterproof headphones worked well for me, stayed in during mild warm up laps and generally stayed in during more vigorous laps. It was easy to put back in while swimming, and I think if I rig my goggle strap, I can make sure it always stays in.

The lanyard was a bit awkward, I would up just tucking the entire package under my suit- not an option many men have.

This is a simple solution to the problem of swimming with your tunes. I have been using it daily for a month or so in the ocean for average 40 minutes at a time. The earphones don't fall out, it doesn't leak, I can operate all of the controls on my classic iPod, the biggest, fattest one ever made. Sometimes simple is simply better.

5.0 out of 5 stars Saved My iPod, September 26, 2008
This review is from: Lewis N. Clark WaterSeals standard Waterproof MP3 or IPOD pouch (Apparel)
This saved my iPod and for real. As I was out on my dad's boat my ipod fell into the water and I thought I was doomed. Yet, it was wearing this protective case and nothing was damaged. I thought I lost all the time and money I had put into my expansive music but it was protected very well with this case. If you are around water a lot, I would defiantly get something like this, it is very useful and comes in handy during those little accidents that happen everyday. I'm very glad I had bought mine, so I figured I'd recommend it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Flooded 3 iPods - bought 2 of these, April 12, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
I've bought this item twice - it tears easily on the sides which compromises the effectiveness of the product. I should have learned my lesson the first time but decided to give it another try. I've ruined 3 older iPods - the last generation before the Touch, a Nano and now a shuffle clip. I think I'd get better waterproofing from a ZipLoc bag. The heavy plastic/vinyl seems sturdy enough and it does have 3 sets of "zip locks" and a fold-over velcro flap to keep the unit closed. The only thing that the makers didn't figure was that the sides split far too easily.

Oh well... live and learn.
