Customer Reviews

This works great in my JVC Everio camcorder!

Lexar always put out a good product - these memory devices are everywhere, but still the brand products are more reliable performance wise.

The read/write speeds seem pretty quick too.

I find it slower than my class 4 in general (except for 1MB file), so I return it.

Picked up a couple of these as spares for my Nikon DSLR. It's safer to have a few 4 or 8gb cards then 1 16gb card. So far these work just fine. They actually write much quicker than the older 8gb card I had in that camera. RAW files seem to get processed much quicker than before. So feel safe grabbing some of these for whatever your use is.

I got this on special, and it works as advertised. Eight gig, class six. Not much else you can say about it. Seems plenty fast for my camcorder.

I have a Sony NEX-5, and this is my first memory card. I started off clueless that there was such a thing as "Class", and bought this solely based upon 8GB. I'm learning as I go, and here's what I found:

--NEX-5 supposedly can shoot 7 fps: no WAY I get that with this card.
--I am frequently waiting for the darn camera to "write to card," while in continuous shoot mode (arrrgh, see above), and while in "Anti-Motion Blur," which is a primary feature I use in this camera (takes 5 frames, diff exposures, and automatically merges them for low-light sans flash)! At least five seconds in real time per "shot" to write/merge before I can shoot again.

The only reason I gave this two stars is that the card hasn't *failed* yet: apparently many of the Transcend brand do, so I guess Lexar gets a star for that.

Bottom line: this card is sub-par. You are not getting what you pay for. It is sloooooow. Look elsewhere. If I had known any better at the time, I would have returned it.

This SD card is perfect for my camera. I haven't had any issues taking and saving pictures with my canon T3i to this card.

Bought the last 5 of these because the price was so shockingly low.
At $2.99 each, they cost just about the same price as two high quality DVD blanks, with the same data capacity, but handier.
I use them to transfer photos, etc. to others.
I tested them and 3 of them had strangely been formatted in different cameras. (Discovered by viewing the SD Card's name).
So, I think they were possibly pre-used in various devices. STILL a great deal, but that should be mentioned.
I reformatted them all properly with the free SD formatter program from sdcard dot org and all 5 work great.
I'll buy more if they get more at this price.

Lexar is one of the few brands I know I can trust, and these 8 GB cards are good performers. Class 6 cards write data fast enough for most purposes - even HD video. And the reasonably large capacity means I don't have to swap out cards a lot. Lexar cards are usually pricier than most other brands, but they have an excellent reputation and are good performers.
