Lexar uses the same rating system used by the CD-ROM industry, where a data transfer rate of 1x equals 150 kilobytes per second (KBps). This card holds A LOT of images. Not only that, but if you register it online, you get a free adapter for hooking it up to your computer without using the camera as a middleman. Lexar's shipping on the cable is pretty fast. There may be cheaper 256MB cards available, but stick with this one. It's incredibly fast.
