Product Description

Amazon.com Product Description

Lexar's USB-enabled CompactFlash digital film and JumpShot connection kit lets you quickly capture high-resolution images and easily transfer them through your PC or Mac USB port. There's no lengthy installation process and no need for a separate card reader. With Lexar Media's JumpShot connection kit, you can now transfer your CompactFlash images to your computer up to 25 times faster than with your camera's serial cable connection.

Today's megapixel cameras capture higher-resolution images than ever before, and their large image files can take a relatively long time to write, making you wait to take your next picture. But there is less waiting and more time spent shooting with Lexar Media's 8X digital film. Lexar Media's patented 8X technology (1.2 MBps transfer rate) records your images at more than twice the speed of currently available generic film.

The Digital Film Compliance seal assures you that your Lexar film is 100 percent compatible with your CompactFlash digital camera. Moreover, the film is backed by a five-year limited customer-satisfaction warranty. Windows 98 requirements: Windows 98 operating system with USB port, Pentium CPU recommended, 5 MB of available hard disk space, and a CD-ROM drive. Macintosh requirements: Mac OS 8.5 or later, one available USB port, 16 MB or more RAM, 5 MB of available hard disk space, and a CD-ROM drive.

5.0 out of 5 stars A little more, a lot better., November 14, 2000

This review is from: Lexar Media 48MB 8X USB Compactflash Digital Flash RAM Card with Jumpshot Cable (Personal Computers)
This 48Mb card filled to capacity with ~150 pics takes less time to download to my PC than the 8Mb Kodak card that comes with the Kodak DC240. Beware that the Jumpshot cable works only with USB enabled Compactflash cards. It is the easiest way to download pics from your Lexar Media cards, but not a replacement for a compacflash card reader.
