5.0 out of 5 stars Fastest card for Nikon D100
Although the product is poorly described..., it turned out to be what I exepected it to be: a great and very fast Compact Flash card. I just started using it with my new Nikon D100, and haven't had any issues so far.

By the way, according to [some research] this is the fastest media available for the Nikon D100, as well as for several Canon and Kodak cameras. Great...

2.0 out of 5 stars Does not work well with Mac OS X
Excited to jump from a 1GB Microdrive (which a lot of people bag) I bought the 1GB Lexar 32X WA.

When the box came, you have to special order the JumpSHOT card reader (which came for free).

While the CF card is in the camera it seems to operate slower than the 1GB Microdrive. Slower burst of pictures.

Secondly, to read the pictures, the camera must be plugged in...

Secondly, to read the pictures, the camera must be plugged in to the computer. The JumpSHOT reader is not compatible with Mac OS 10.2.6. Drive does not even show up.

The Microdrive was flawless from my experience with it. Waiting to hear back from the Lexar Tech Support about the issues mentioned above.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fast Big Fast and Fast., April 29, 2003
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)

This card comes with a very nice usb card reader and a nice package. The card is very fast. I use it with a Canon 10D digital camera that saves the pictures at about 2 meg each. 32x speed, is fast. Amazons price will anger your local camera store;) Did I mention this card is FAST?

Works well with Canon 10D and my two card readers for my PCs. No problems in two months. Pricing was better at eCost.com. Look for rebate from Lexar if you buy two of these.
I would highly recommend this Card especially with lifetime warranty. Independent research has this as the quickest write time of 40+ cards tested with the Canon 10D. Spend the extra for relaible and fast card.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as "Fast" as I expected...., August 9, 2003

I bought this card for for use in a NIkon D100 with the latest firmware, and I have to say 32x and WA seem like marketing terms. As soon as I shot with this card I didn't notice any speed difference so I did my own "real world test". All situations were identical. I used this Lexar card & a Delkin efilm card with no speed rating on the label. In raw mode- Delkin 38 secs, with the lexar 38 secs- in Tiff L Delkin 33 secs, Lexar 28 secs. In JPEG L Delkin 4 secs, Lexar 3 secs.
The Jump shot is only compatible with USB enabled Lexar cards. Great transfer rate to computer though. I had no problems with the image rescue software using OS X 10.2.6. Good warranty.
However, wished I bought the Viking 1gb card and saved myself 70.00 dollars. This may be labeled professional, but come on...its flash card.
