Here's a second opinion on this card. I've been using this card heavily for about 8 months without any issue. Its worked flawlessly and the 200x speed doesn't slow my canon 5d or 40d. I use a firewire 800 card reader for downloading very large files, since I shoot only in raw and I've seen no discernible difference between this 200x card and my CF cards that are rated much faster. In a nutshell, if your looking for a workhorse CF card that provides good speed, high quality at a very affordable price, buy this card. I've ordered two more.

As a professional photographer I always try to use the best. It's not always the cheapest choice but on some things you simply can't be a miser - you need to invest money to secure your product. This little card helps you greatly in that. Lexar is one of top memory card manufacturers and if you open any decent photography magazine or web page, you'll find that their cards are usually top of their offer - both quality and price.

Well, this little thing changed that considerably - I never had a chance to purchase card of this quality for such a lowly sum. Both speed and quality without poking a hole in your pocket (now, don't get wrong ideas, I'm talking about money here, a'right?).

Yes, I know, all of you PROFESSIONAL photogs out there will cry now that 200x isn't the best speed, 600x is already out etc. Well, you know what - if you have need for 9 fps or more, yeah, go ahead - buy that nice $200+ card - I'm happy with this baby :)

Thumbs up, folks. Go ahead and buy a few - it's too good to miss.

LEXAR MAKES REALLY GOOD STUFF. GOT MINE FROM ADORAMA ON SALE.
4GB IS ABOUT THE RIGHT SIZE. IF THE CARD CRASHES YOU DON'T LOSE SO MUCH.
BACK UP YOUR STUFF TO CD-DVD ANYWAY.

P.S I now have 4 of these. All of them perform flawlessly. Used them on a cruise to Roatan. Great shots of nice places on great cards. Plug them in and format. No worry. No problem.

More! Just got back from Palm Springs,Ca. 900 plus photos and not one error. Great cards!

2 26 2012. Now more than one year on and STILL no problems! Nikon D70s. Dozens of pix of grand kids and Kansas City.

I was looking for a memory card to go with my new canon 7D camera. The 16gb was well worth it. It gave me well over 1000 pictures even at 18mp and also can record for my 1080 HD video. It was a great buy.

I bought these cards a few months ago, and it seems I am having corruption issues or perhaps the files are not writing fast enough for my canon 5d mark II. The final straw was today when at least 100 files were corrupted and the disc will not read anything else, just says error when inserted! I cannot risk these cards so I will be making sure I only buy the professional ones!

Unfortunately, I had to return this product not once, but twice. In both cases I started receiving memory read/write errors when taking pictures. I ended up just asking for a refund. The Amazon return process was straight forward and there were no issues.

I would say 5 stars but have not filled it up. A friend said a 120 GB card from China only took 4 GB, but this could be due to gear.
The Lexar 4 GB is the outer limit for use in the Nikon D70 camera, and only the Lexar brand at this size, so I grabbed it. I took a photo and it was fine, uploaded routinely, and rendered well in PhotoShop. I will probably never fill it up unless I start shooting photos in RAW. Where the number of available photos appears in the camera data window there is a cryptic 1.1 but that does not affect use. Card is by no means completely tested, but I like it.
