I recently purchased a Nikon D3100 and needed a larger capacity SD card. But in addition to large capacity, I also wanted a fast card (SDHC) that would be backwards compatible with my existing SD card readers. I post photos while on the road and my HP Mini netbook with built-in SD card reader would need to be able to recognize the new card. When I received the Lexar Platinum II 8GB, I placed it in the Nikon, gave it a quick format and shot some photos. Works perfect. Then on to the HP Mini - no problem opening the photos. In addition, it also works in a USB to SD card reader I inserted in my desktop. So, this SD card from Lexar provides the capacity and speed I need for my camera, while also being backwards compatible in my other SD readers.

After doing much research on cards like I do for nearly every purchase I make, I found this brand to have positive remarks. Then, considering the cost factor, I'm extremely pleased. I've been using it for a while now & I agree with its positive reviews. The card is doing its job perfectly & is a great value. I am using 2 of these cards to record full HD compressed videos in my JVC GZ-HM550 High Definition Camcorder.
The cards work just as good as the factory installed 32 GB memory, no difference, no quality loss.
I recommend it!

It's a nice card. Works fine in my HD 1080i camcorder.

Interestingly, it is much stiffer and heavier than other SD cards. It even has a slight bulge in the middle, but the thickness is still within normal SD card dimensions.

My Sandisk ultra II SD card broke apart physically after repeated use, but this card feels like it will last a lot longer physically. In fact, the build quality seems better than all of my other cards.

This card is perfect for me. I was getting frustrated waiting for my camera to save pictures on a slower card and potentially missing a great shot. I do not have to wait for the camera while using this card. I use a Canon Rebel XSi.

I first bought an Eye-Fi X2 Pro for use in my new Fuji X100 camera. I was looking forward to having the wifi connectivity to my laptop, but there was a dealbreaker - it frequently had card errors in the camera! I tried to troubleshoot it for over a week and finally found that other users of that card encountered similar issues. I returned it and started looking for other options.

I bought this card instead of my usual brand (Sandisk), because it was cheaper and still had an excellent reputation. The card has worked flawlessly since it arrived - it's definitely a relief to find that my expensive new camera is fine.

I will definitely be considerign Lexar next time I'm buying memory cards for my cameras.

I bought this flash memory for a new DSLR that I bought for Xmas, and it exceeds my needs for the camera. The 8GB size gives me ~2000 pictures even at the best image settings, and this is fast flash memory so the pics can store quicker, allowing you to take pictures quicker. So I don't see myself ever using the size of this flash memory before downloading the pics to a computer.

I'm a learning photographer and I got this for my new D5000. I am very impressed by the speed of the card which I think is the most important factor. In that respect this is awesome. I usually take 3 EV bracketed shots for hdr and the card is so fast that it take the shots consecutively.

8gb is pretty good for me. This can hold about 500 photos. I carry this at most for a 3 day trip. I may soon have to buy another 8 or 4 gb.

Overall great product, may be a little pricey but totally worth it.

I was worried my android tablet couldn't read the card, fear was unfounded. This card has performed flawlessly for me. I recommend this card for any android tablet that supports its format

I was taking photos in RAW (about 20 MB per picture) and after looking at the photos the following day, I found that half of them were corrupted and were unviewable on my Nikon DSLR. I dumped the photos unto my harddrive and found that the same issue occurred and many photos were unable to be transferred from the memory card to my hard drive.

This happened on my first use of the memory card and I highly doubt I damaged it within the first hour of inserting the memory card into my Nikon and the first time I used the card to take pictures. I would recommend SanDisk or another brand instead. Definitely not the best use of $60.
