5.0 out of 5 stars Good, reliable and fast
I got this on amazon.com and only wanted the card, since I already own an SDHC card reader and my laptop reads the format. What I received is exactly what is shown on this page: a professional SDHC Class 6 133x speed card.

It works well, as you'd expect, and its write speed is fast, as are the download times into the computer -- befitting a Class 6 card...

I got this on amazon.com and only wanted the card, since I already own an SDHC card reader and my laptop reads the format. What I received is exactly what is shown on this page: a professional SDHC Class 6 133x speed card.

It works well, as you'd expect, and its write speed is fast, as are the download times into the computer -- befitting a Class 6 card. I've been reading a lot of good recommendations about Lexar and Delkin memory cards and have experience with Lexar CompactFlash cards, so my most recent card choices have been for these two brands. (But the Delkin disappointed me. Read review at Delkin Devices DDSDPRO2-4GB 4GB 150X SDHC eFilm Secure Digital Pro Card.)

The Lexar is as good, if not better, than the hyped Sandisk SDHC cards (that come in so many different varieties and price brackets that it is nearly impossible not to become hopelessly confused). This is a good, no-frills card and both camera and computer work well with it.

I have a 12MP camera that I usually shoot at the highest quality jpg setting. The 4GB card has more than enough storage space (800+ pics). I'm impressed with the read/write speed as well. No issues/complaints.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great SD Memory Card, But Beware..., October 10, 2008
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lexar Professional Series 4 GB 133x Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card SD4GB-133-381 (Personal Computers)
This Lexar Professional 133x memory card performs fast and flawlessly as advertised. But beware of the false advertisers, even on Amazon.com. I've seen links to sellers of Lexar "Professional" SD memory cards that are NOT "133x Speed" or better. In fact, the Lexar SD cards offered at these links were not even in the "Lexar Professional" line. I brought this to the attention of Amazon.com several months ago, but I believe something got lost in that communication.

I had orignally "purchased" this item directly from Lexar, but they were out of stock. After 7 weeks it was still out of stock, so I checked Amazon.com and canceled my order with Lexar. There were at least two Amazon sellers listing this item, and I chose the one that had a product description that matched Lexar's -- comes with a free reader (because most card readers cannot read a 4GB SDHC card) as well as free software, including Corel PhotoShop X. When the product arrived, there was just the card itself and a little plastic carrying case. No reader, no codes/info for downloading the software. Amazon's attitude is - "You didn't buy it FROM us, only THROUGH us, so you have to contact the retailer." The retailer's attitude is, "We don't care what the Amazon listing page said, this is all we're giving you." Of course, the law in California (where I live) calls this a "bait and switch" as well as false advertising, etc., etc. Bottom line is I'm stuck with a memory card that will work in my camera for recording the photos, but I don't have a card reader that can read the dang thing to get the photos off the card. So, save yourself a LOT of grief and buy the item directly from Lexar. That's the only way you'll get everything you're supposed to get.

4.0 out of 5 stars Speedy card; speedy snap, April 14, 2010
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Lexar Professional Series 4 GB 133x Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card SD4GB-133-381 (Personal Computers)
This card is rather fast. Worked amazingly on my Nikon D60 SLR but sadly broke about 10 months after buying it. I used it constantly and I guess the plastic couldn't handle the use. I small piece of the card snapped off. It was a piece next to the metal connectors. The piece broke inside my SLR camera which got jammed and didn't allow any other card to be inserted after. This card cost me a very expensive repair bill for my camera.

I would recommend buying this card ONLY if you won't be taking it in and out of your camera a lot. Or if you're not a power user.

If you are, buy Hoodman memory cards.

I'm not a professional photographer but an advanced-amateur. And I really do recommend buying a hoodman if you want true quality.

I purchased this for use with the Panasonic ZS3/ TZ7. Amazon offered the best price by far and dispatched it promptly, ccritical, as I had run of of memory cards whilst on holiday at Disneyland. I couldnt find any decent high speed cards locally to our hotel. It has been extremely reliable and fast and an added bonus is the free image recovery software that is available for download from Lexar when you purchase this product. Especially important if you occiasionally delete the wrong photos from your camera like I do. I have also been very pleased not to experience any of the life support beeps that some panasonic owners have had with shooting HD video footage on certain memory cards.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great ptroduct that comes with Card Reader, December 30, 2009
This review is from: Lexar Professional Series 4 GB 133x Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card SD4GB-133-381 (Personal Computers)
I bought the 4 gig Lexar Professional one week ago as I needed extra reliable SDHC for my Canon 500D. It came in a retail package with small card reader inside and two small brouchors, one for the warranty and the other contains a link to a website in order to download two free softwares one of them is the Corel and th eother is a photo recovery software together with the serial numbers.

I tested it many times with Video recording in both 1080 and 720 and both worked very well indeed. I also tested the card reader which worked smoothly in my HP pavilion (Though included a built in card reader).

I have also 8 gig Sandisk Extreme III which i use mainly for video recording with my excellent Canon 500D and I found no difference in terms of quality and speed.

In conclusion, this product is very reliable with Canon DSLR 500D. Its speed is excellent and will secure you a nice video and still shots. In addition, it comes with a nice and small card reader and two nice to have free softwares.

Note: I bought this product bundled with card reader and two free softwares from a retail store not from amazon.

This product serves its purpose quite well for my use. I have it in my rebel XSi. Plenty big enough and plenty fast enough for rapid shooting in jpeg mode. It lags after a couple shots in raw mode, but that is expected. Card is very reliable thus far, have had no issues. I have taken about 1000 pictures with it and have zero complaints. I would buy again.
