3.0 out of 5 stars Decent product, shady company?
I ordered an anti glare screen protector from Lexerd. It arrived quickly, was easy to install and did make the GPS a little easier to read in bright sunlight. I think at $10 each, they are a little overpriced. No problem. I said exactly that in my Amazon feedback.

I ordered an anti glare screen protector from Lexerd. It arrived quickly, was easy to install and did make the GPS a little easier to read in bright sunlight. I think at $10 each, they are a little overpriced. No problem. I said exactly that in my Amazon feedback.

A couple of days later, I get an email from Lexerd that says this:

> Hi there, I've just read your feedback. Somtime good things cost a little more. This a professional grade material
> and should last you for a while. Tell you what, go ahead and remove the feedback. Let me know when it's done so I
> can get you a free order. Let me know when it's done.

The email gave me specific instructions on how to remove my feedback to the product I ordered from them.

Are they for real???

I can't believe that companies would try to "buy" good feedback or on my case "buy" the removal of a slightly negative feedback. I reported them to Amazon and hope they stop this practice at once. If the feedback and reviews of products can't be trusted, then Amazon might as well take them off of their site!

This just isn't right.

Like I said, decent product, a little expensive, questionable company ethics.

3.0 out of 5 stars Durability, March 29, 2011
This review is from: Lexerd - Delorme Earthmate PN-60 40 TrueVue Anti-Glare GPS Screen Protector (Electronics)
Easy to install. Great product, but they don't last very long. I put one on my GPS and got a little water on it. The protector started to bubble on the edges and I couldn't get the bubbles to go away. Once the corners started to come up, dust got under and the protector came off. Tried another one, same thing. The product does work, no glare, no distortion on my GPS. Just don't get them wet.

I bought this product after reading that other screen protectors turn yellow after time, and I wanted to preserve the true colors of the GPS screen.

I had no problems installing it, however, you do have to follow directions and make sure there is no dust on your screen when you apply the film, otherwise any dust particles will be trapped under the film with no way to remove them (that I know of). As a finishing touch, after cleaning the screen, I blew on the screen with a can of Dust Off and checked for dust very closely.

After cleaning the screen you put on the finger cots (basically very sexy, but small condoms) and apply the film. This could be tricky, but I lined up the bottom of the film very carefully before touching it to the screen and it lined up perfectly the first time. The film is only about 1 mm smaller than the screen, so you have very little wigggle room if it is not applied just right. If you have to, you can remove it and reposition it, but I think that the more you mess with the film, the more chances that you will begin to attract dust, and then, ya know. Try to do it right the first time.

The matte finish is nice and makes the screen easier to view in sunlight.

This seems to be a good product. Only time will tell if it does the intended job and actually protects the screen without turning yellow.

3.0 out of 5 stars Works okay, March 18, 2011

The product served okay as an ant-glare device. Installation was easy yet somewhat tedious. The tolerance is tight. After a few weeks of use, while out geocaching, the screen protector became scratched after walking thru some underbrush. Seems a little delicate to be called a screen protector.

3.0 out of 5 stars Does not fit well, December 25, 2010
This review is from: Lexerd - Delorme Earthmate PN-60 40 TrueVue Anti-Glare GPS Screen Protector (Electronics)
I have the product applied correctly to the pn-60 but there are air bubbles all along the edges. It's just too tight of a fit to get it down all the way especially around the in/out button. I wish I had trimmed it down a bit before applying it. Hopefully these bubbles will not cause it to lose adhesion.

I got this to protect the LCD on my PN-40 and then promptly went elk hunting on the Oregon coast the weekend in which we had the highest rainfall ever recorded for a September day in Oregon. The product worked well even in the deluge, never seemed to mind the rain and kept the screen visible at all times. I will note that when you put the screen protector on the GPS you should probably work in an electrostatic-free or reduced situation if you can as the Lexerd screen will pull particles to it if you're not careful.
