4.0 out of 5 stars Lexard
I carefully placed the screen protector on my Oregon 450 and discovered that the corners on the film were too wide for my Oregon screen. The bottom corners overlapped the ends of the screen. I knew these corners would become a dust and dirt collector and removed the film. So, now I have paid for an expensive screen protector and find it useless. So beware, if you buy this...

Since my previous review of this product has mysteriously disappeared...

This screen protector does work as advertised but I was surprised when I opened the package and found only one sheet inside. I think the price is expensive for a single sheet. My company recently purchased protective sheets for our Droid phones, approximately the same size, and received 3 sheets plus a small plastic applicator that made it easy to apply the sheet with out digging out a credit card and it cost about 1/3 the price.

P.S.
I was later contacted by the company and offered a refund if I would remove this review of their product. Later when I checked, my review had already been removed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lexard, February 28, 2011
This review is from: Lexerd - Garmin Oregon 450 TrueVue Anti-Glare GPS Screen Protector (Electronics)
So beware, if you buy this product, you might want to snip off a small amount of two corners. Let the snipped off corners be the last corners you press down. I have used a product called Hoodskins screen protector in the past. They were effective and less expensive than these Lexerd protectors. I suggest using Hoodskins instead of the Lexerd ones if you can find them. You do have to cut them down to fit.

Update:

In my original review I rated this product as a 2 star. Since that time. I contacted Lexard and explained the problem I had with their product. Without any hassle, they quickly sent me a replacement screen. Customer service is important to me. I now rate their product as a 4 star and hope the screen protector works as advertised.

4.0 out of 5 stars close but not perfect, January 6, 2012

overall I believe that it will work well. The fit is close to correct but not a perfect fit. The corners did not fit so I had to trim them to fit. I would think that this company could do this for you. That is the reason for the four starts.

4.0 out of 5 stars GPS cover, August 5, 2011

The product arrived with the envelope bent in two, even though there was a comment on the envelope face not to bend. I opened the envelope with some trepidation wondering if the GPS screen cover would be unuseable. It was fine, but I think the shipper could have provided better packaging.

The cover was easy to install and works fine on the Garmin 450t GPS.

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, June 21, 2011
This review is from: Lexerd - Garmin Oregon 450 TrueVue Anti-Glare GPS Screen Protector (Electronics)
I was waiting to review this until I had actually "tested" it - which I did by banging the GPS screen on a rock while hiking. Looking at it revealed a superficial scrape and a deeper scratch. I figured the protector would save the screen from the scrape, but that the scratch had gone through. In fact it had not. Yes, it's expensive for a thin sheet of plastic, yes, it gets "smudgy", and yes, it's true that you have to trim the corners yourself before applying because they don't fit right otherwise. But this product just saved me a serious screen scratch and that made it all worth it to me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent!!, September 30, 2010
This review is from: Lexerd - Garmin Oregon 450 TrueVue Anti-Glare GPS Screen Protector (Electronics)
Received the product quickly and it fits perfectly on my Garmin 450 GPS. It even comes with a cloth to wipe the screen and two individual latex finger gloves so you don't get fingerprints on it during installation. Now that its on, I can't even tell that its there! Touch screen works just as good as it did before, and better yet, no finger prints or smudging on the screen! Pretty amazing. Great purchase!

This product lives up to the claims that are made for it.
I was also very impressed by the support I had from the sellers

Been using for a month. It leaves smear marks all over the screen. When the sun hit the screen at a angle it's almost imposable to read the screen. I was very disappointed with this product. I'm going to figure out the type I have on my blackberry and see if they make one for a Garmin.
