The ink cartridge is the most important element of the Lexmark printing process, so Lexmark carefully engineers its cartridges for optimum performance. Installing a new Lexmark print cartridge is almost like getting a brand new printer. Lexmark develops and manufactures its cartridges using a full range of inkjet technologies, from precision printheads to specially formulated inks. In fact, Lexmark's printhead technology has important advantages over that of competing brands, including a higher ejection pressure and greater packing density, resulting in a smaller cartridge that makes great-looking prints. Lexmark takes inkjet quality to unprecedented levels with deep, rich black inks and the brightest and widest color ink spectrum to produce spectacular output.

Prebate supplies are now called Lexmark Return Program cartridges. Details of the license program remain the same. Only the name has changed. For a period of time, when you order a Return Program cartridge, you may receive a Prebate cartridge. Lexmark appreciates your patience during this transition. Lexmark Return Program Cartridges are sold at a discount versus the prices of regular cartridges in exchange for the customer's agreement to use the cartridge only once and return it only to Lexmark for remanufacturing or recycling. Regular cartridges without this license/agreement sold at regular prices are also available. Regular cartridges are also recyclable at no cost through Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program. Lexmark Return Program Cartridges are always made with all new parts.
Lexmark recycles Return Program Cartridges, keeping them out of the waste stream. In 2002, Lexmark's remanufacturing efforts kept close to one million laser cartridges out of landfills. Return Program Cartridges are a great choice for the environment. Other recycling and remanufacturing options are available with regular cartridges. Use Lexmark Cartridge Collection Program to return empty cartridges for reuse and recycling.
