The printer is easy to set up and install and comes with a clear and detailed manual that guides you through the process. It connects to the USB port, though there is no USB cable supplied in the box. Two ink cartridges (one black and one for the other three printing colors--cyan, magenta and yellow) clip easily into place. An advanced driver helps you control the printer and adjust settings for the best possible results on different media types.
A support tray extends to hold printed sheets, and twin paper trays hold blank sheets, which is useful for having photo paper in one tray and standard paper in the other. Buttons on the front of the printer let you easily switch between the two trays.
The Z65 offers 4,800 x 1,200 dpi resolution and quotes speeds of up to 21 ppm for monochrome and 15 ppm for color prints. The speeds are ambitious even when referring to draft quality as they do. However, text output is prompt for an inkjet; and when you crank up the quality settings, you get crisp output with solid blacks. Color printing, which for most people means photos, can be much more time-consuming. However, after experimenting with the settings, you can get stunning results if you're using good quality photo paper. --Jason Weston

El Crapo Printo,

This review is from: Lexmark Z65 Inkjet Printer (Office Product)
No, No, No. Do not buy this printer.A myriad of problems you'll encounter if you go ahead and ignore this and every other customer review that you'll find listed here. There was a day when this printer truly impressed me. That day was about two weeks after I had the printer set up and already conquered the first of at least five Lexmark wars. That day I printed out about three color photo copies of pictures that were sent to me through e-mail. The quality of each copy was stunning. I had never seen such detail come from a home based printer! It was pure joy, and... SCREETCH!! Dream over. Suddenly I was completely out of color ink, and it was a $45 trip to Office Depot to replace the cartridge. This new cartridge lasted me another very short life, and then came the paper jams. You'll discover that this printer is extremely fragile while trying to unjam the paper mess. As time goes by, you'll need to hold the paper against the right clip of the upright paper tray in order for the paper to feed in straight. And finally, after a month or two has trudged on by, all the while with the memory (now fading away) of the day when the Lexmark did what it should, my lovely printer died. My printer has become totally worthless because the electronic mechanisms that surround both the left and the right cartridges "shorted out," as the troubleshooting guide has told me so. Take warning and go find a Canon or something.

This printer is great for everything. It has exellent dpi resolution which makes it great to print photos. It is also good for text printing since it prints 21 pages per minute. It is the fastest and best printer in the market today. It was really easy to install it. I definitely recommend this product.

GARBAGE PRINTER NEGATIVE 5 STARS,
By rose "asia3" (NEAR HOUSTON TX United States) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lexmark Z65 Inkjet Printer (Office Product)
The first one I had took less than a week to stop printing the colored areas. The replacement lasted about 5 months then did the same thing, of course I had just bought new cartridges. Customer support was inept at best, probably hit a key and send standardized message. After a few back and forths they tell me that it must be a bad cartridge. Give me a break, the color stopped in the middle of a print job. They did tell me how to print a diagnostic page. According to that there was a heater problem. I will never purchase another lexmark
