Good all-in-one,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
The Lexmark X75 is an excellent deal for the price. The software is fool proof, very easy to scan, copy, and print, even if you've never done it before. Printer quality is great. Scanner can scan at quite high resolutions (up to 9600 dpi). The highest resolution I've scanned at is 600 dpi and it looks great. Haven't used the copier much, but it also does a decent job. Size is great as well; doesn't take up too much space. The only problems I can think of are that the ink cartridges only hold about 20 ml of ink...and it prints quite slow in color. Overall it's a great printer, but don't think you're paying a rock-bottom price, because you'll pay for it in the end with the printer cartridges.

No tech support,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
My mother-in-law got this printer with her computer, and I am constantly over at her house trying to fix it, or replacing its ink cartridges. Not only are the ink carts comparable in price to the printer itself, but they only last for a ridiculously small number of pages. And the color cart does not track levels of cyan, magenta, and yellow separately. This printer ran out of cyan and still pretended that the color cart was half full of ink. Recently, the printer started printing only the tops of pages. It prints a few inches, then form feeds a mostly blank page. Naturally, I tried troubleshooting, until I was left with "contact technical support". This consists of people named "Pradeep" and "Ali" sending you form letters instructing you to do things you have done already. Then you reply to the e-mail that you did that already, and it didn't work. They then happily send you the next form letter from their flowchart, until you burst a blood vessel from pure frustration. I recommend that you do not buy this printer, or any other from Lexmark.

Great features for a low price,

If you're looking for a multifunction printer/scanner/copier, consider this one. It has a flatbed scanner with photo quality printing and versatile settings. You can do any number of creative projects on this machine and with the help of the software you don't have to be very knowledgeable to do it. I am impressed with the quality of the black text printing as well - it has a clear crisp look to it. The software installation was quick and easy and there's a very low learning curve for this machine. All in all, I'm well satisfied.

Great Printer. . . .once you get the software installed,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
Don't get me wrong folks, I'm pleased with the quality of printing, scanning, and copying and wouldn't give my X-75 up readily. I'm particularly impressed with the fast, high quality scanning. However, when I first got it I ran Win98 on my machine, which it clearly says on the box (and in the instructions) that the printer is compatible with. Not true. We tried everything to get the software to install and no dice. My Dad, who is an experienced network engineer, couldn't even get it to install. By researching on the web I found that quite a few other people had the same problem and fixed it by changing over to Win2000. Sure enough, once we ditched Win98 the printer installed with no problem and has been working just fine ever since. So save yourself some frustration and make sure you aren't running Win98 if you buy this printer. As long as you're running Win2000 or Win XP the X-75 shouldn't give you any problems installing software.

I'll tell you why this printer is so cheap....,
By A Customer
This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
This is a very capable and servicable printer for the price. I have had no problems with it; it is user friendly for an all-in-one. I got it for $$ bucks in a gold box offer. Why is this printer so cheap? Because the two required refill cartridges (one color and one black and white) cost a combined $$!! That's the formula: sell the printer cheap, and whack you on the ink refills! Hey...it prints.....what can I say?

I know my printers,

Printers are the new writing tool for humanity. As a result we all want good ones, some cheap and some not so cheap. As you are reading this you must be thinking why am i writing such an ambiant message. The lexmark x 75 printrio is not as good as everyone tells you. First of all it prints nowhere newar the highest speed the company tells you, even at the fastest settings. That is the main fault. Another fault is that the scanning takes forever. You'd rather buy a 10 dollar scanner, because thats what its worth. Also the copying is extremely slow, it usually takes about 2 minutes to compy a one page document. It looks good, but its so had to put in the paper, you would think with such a famous printer it would be easy but its not. Theres a special piece of plastic which you have to pull, and if i don't my paper gets wrinkled. If you want a good printer for a good price don't go for this one. And don't listen to others messages, because they probably want' to make money, because they work for the company. In conclusion i believe this is a bad buy, don't believe everything you read, but believe me - "Look at how low their stock is doing, then see if you wan't to buy the lousy printer."

All in one printer that Excels in nothing,
By Tara Dunnholt (Redding, CA United States) - See all my reviews

This is My second lexmark product. As usual this thing prints NOWHERE near the speeds it says it can. The scaning feature is also Slow not just to slow for the Office, Its just Plain SLOW. Of course you gotta love the Lexmark ink cartridges, if you dont print anything for say a Month, then one day decide to print something you must go down to your local Walmart (or wherever) and buy a new Ink Cartridge. Why you ask? because the ink drys up ALL the TIME. this is my second lexmark and my first one had the same Ink problem.. Save yourself a Headache pay a little more and buy a Hp,cannon or epson. Lexmarks are JUNK.

Great All-In-One for the price!,

This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
The key words here are "for the price". If you look real hard, you can find this as a refurbished unit for a little more than half of a C note, with cartridges, which is what I did. This unit is great for low demand work, as a second (backup) printer or if you need a scanner / copier but don't have one. Ok, this is not going to break any speed records, But the quality of printouts is pretty good. If you are looking for perfection, go spend a lot more money for 3-in-1 on something else. But this does a more than adequate job. The software seems to work well with my Win98SE, don't know how it would be with XP, but XP drivers are available. Don't forget - once you install this go to Lexmark's website for the updated drivers & I think you'll be pretty happy with this!

WONDERFUL,

This 3 in 1 is the very best. It is so easy to use that this old lady didn't have to be a computer whiz to get it up and running in a matter of minutes. In my first hour of using it I made copies, sent photos and text copies to many people. They have all responded that the copies were wonderful. I am so impressed I would recommend this product to anyone. This price was great too. I feel I really got my moneys worth.

Not worth the Ink!,
This review is from: Lexmark X75 All-in-One Multifunction (Office Product)
I've tried to enjoy this printer, but I've come to realize that it is a real lemon. Don't lose the hardware driver because you'll have to reinstall it at least once every six weeks. The ink consumption is unreal....you may as well buy their stock if your going to by thier ink it may help you feel good about blowing your $$. The printer is louder than my garbage disposal and I have disturbed neighbors trying to use this printer at night. I have attempted to print large documents and left my office only to return to see my Lexmark having a seizure on my desk making sounds that would only be appropriate coming from my Jeep, forcing me to transfer print jobs to my other printers one too many times. I have owned HP's and Canon's and have gotten greater reliability and satisfaction out of their products. The Lexmark has performed miserably for the past 3 years while my older printers have continued to perform well. It's going out in Monday's trash. In fact I intend on giving it a proper sendoff........when the trash truck pulls in front of my house I want to run from my garage with Lexmark in hand go over to the back of the trash truck and slam it down with two hands like SHAQ!
