If you order this item through Amazon you receive a Lexmark P350 portable photoprinter. The box is quite clearly labeled. Maybe that's why they don't show the box. This might be a handy little inkjet printer but it is certainly not the a color lazerprinter. I have no idea why Amazon supports this deceitful marketing. Maybe they are really confused. Certainly the price is completely wrong for a color lazerprinter. Anyway, as always, the buyer must beware.

I bought the printer in April and I have been very pleased for the performance, quality and cost. I printed hundreds of invitation cards, name tags, driving direction and the reception program for my son's wedding. The outcome was perfect. I did not encounter the problem that the last poster experienced. I chose 524 ($699) rather than 522 ($399) because it provided high yield replacement toners which will cut down the printing cost by 39% in the long-run. Of course, if one prints haphazardly, C522 may be more economic. The weight stands at 57 lbs, relatively light in the laser printer arena. It is good for at home or small business usage.

I purchased this printer back when it was $99.99 thinking that it was a good deal. I read the review and the last one made me think that the problem was corrected. It wasn't. The printer you will receive is a Lexmark P350 Portable Photo Printer. This is what the photo shows, but it is not a laser printer of any kind. I sent the first one back, and they sent me the same thing in return.

I will admit that they reimbursed me on my purchase and I am currently waiting on reimbursement on the two return shipping costs. Customer Service said, "As it seems that the problem with this item is more widespread than we originally thought, we are not able to send another replacement."

I don't know if this was false advertising or terrible communications between Amazon and Target, but I figure if they were really interested in fixing the problem they would have pulled this item and fixed the page. Instead, they raised the price to $121.93 and changed the picture a little bit. It appears to be coming from Wonder Electronics now, but at the time of this review, it's still a picture of the P350 NOT the C524, so BUYERS BEWARE!

This could have been a good little setup, but since they no longer make ink for this machine, why would you buy it?

The Lexmark P350 Photo Printer is a small portable InkJet printer that produces high quality 4"x6" prints. I was very surprised by the ease of setup and use, producing my first print in less than 10 minutes after opening the box (without reading the directions).

The printer comes with a small power supply, instructions, a driver CD, a "starter" InkJet cartridge (read low capcity), and 20 sheets of 4"x6" InkJet photo paper. When the unit is first powered on, it instructs you to inset the cartridge and uses a sheet of paper to align the print heads. I had to use a sheet of the photo paper since that was the only 4"x6" paper I had on hand, but will use a blank index card in the future.

This printer can be used connected to the computer via a USB cable (not included) or in standalone mode by inserting a memory card (SD, xD, MMC, Memory Stick, CompactFlash, and USB Flash Drive). There is a nice color display and fairly intuitive menu system to help guide the user through the setup and print options.

This printer can now often be found for far less than the retail price and the consumables are sometimes found in the clearance sections of "big box" stores. There are refill kits that are nice as they have a new cartridge and photo paper pack that produces 100 prints.

Recommended for those that want an easy to use and highly portable printer that produces decent 4"x6" prints.
