Trust me, save your money. I bought this Lexmark No 36 Black & No 37 Color Combo Pack, Return Program Print Cartridges pack on July 29, 2010 and was out of ink on the same day. The color cartridge ran completely out after 15 copies. Really after only 15 sheets of copy. The black lasted for about 35 copies and a little more only because it printed the latter in grey until it ran out. The color copies were a kind of washed out color and the paper felt wet and curled a little until it dried. The pull tab on both cartridges was barely attached which would lead one to believe that someone prior to me had already pulled the tabs off. If these things were given away for free I wouldn't accept them. I now have the Lexmark 36XL black and 37XL color combo pack. When I bought my printer these were the cartridges that came with it. They lasted well over a year and the print quality is excellent. I should have bought them in the first place and saved myself some money. Though the 36XL and 37XL costs more they last way longer. I still find it hard to believe that the Lexmark no 36 black & no 37 color combo lasted one day after only about 50 or less copies. I hate writing totally bad reviews, but I could not find any redeeming qualities for the 36 black & 37 color combo cartridges.

I'm pleased with the service from Amazon and with the purchase and price of the Lexmark No 36 Black & No 37 Color Combo Pack I bought. This was a deal as I've shopped around and received some ridiculous prices.

Lexmark heavily markets the 36 and 37, and also the XL models of each of these. After much searching, I figured out that only the elusive 36A and 37A are refillable and Lexmark does not make these easily available. With the price of ink cartridges what it is, even for limited home printing refilling is the only way to go. Cartridge World sells the 36A and 37A and will refill them as well.

If you've ever owned a Lexmark previously, you know they often use the "buy this printer or All-in-one cheap from us, then pay lots and lots to us for cartridges for the rest of it's life."

I've owned many Lexmarks over the years, and currently have an x5650 that utilizes these. In fact, this is the version of the cartridges that came w/ it when I originally purchased it. If you didn't notice with those, they run out of ink very quickly!

Fortunately, there's a better option. For only a couple of dollars more per cartridge you can get the Lexmark #36XL/#37XL High Yield Black/color Return Prog Print Cart. Each of these cartridges will deliver well over two times the printed pages that these do.

In fact, if like me, you only print occassionally in color, I recommend you set your automatic default settings so that almost everything you print is in "automatic, draft format in Black and White only" and print web pages in "text only" to further elongate the life of your cartridge. (You can still set up profiles in your Lexmark so that w/ a click of a button you can choose to print something in "Best Quality/Color" if you're going to have that need occassionally.

If you do that, you'll end up needing to buy just one Lexmark Cartridge No. 37XL - Print cartridge - High Yield - 1 x color (cyan, magenta, yellow) - 500 pages - LRP], and more of the less expensive black cartridges ([[ASIN:B0015MYYMM Lexmark # 36 XL High Yield Black Print Cartridge (18C2170) over time.

Bottom Line: Not the best value available to replace your current cartridges. Go for the high yield - or you'll probably be disappointed.

This package of ink cost me less than going to the store and purchasing it (including the cost of shipping). It is the same package I could have purchased at the store as well, no differences.. I have no complaints!

These work fine. You have to get an RMA from Lexmark to send back the empties.

One of the things I have learned about this type of Lexmark cartridge is that they aren't empty when they indicate they are. When they stop printing ink on the paper then they are empty; it is quite awhile after it indicates they are empty.

Replacement for old used up cartridges. Unfortunately pricing for these kind of items is expensive but not much can be done while a struggling student.

This combo pack was given to the recipient as a Christmas gift. One cannot go wrong with buying any print cartridge combo pack from Lexmark because it does save money.
