A color inkjet printer from Lexmark, the P915 combines a high-quality output with support for PictBridge-enabled digital cameras and a wide variety of memory cards, providing you with the flexibility that you require. With a high 4,800 x 1,200 dpi maximum resolution and six-color inkjet printing, you can create accurate, sharp, professional-looking photos from the comfort of your own home.

A wide variety of paper types are accepted, including plain paper, photo paper, transparencies, index cards, and envelopes, as well as custom sizes up to 8.5 by 17 inches. With print speeds as fast as 22 ppm for black and up to 15 ppm for color (draft mode; actual speeds will vary), you won't be left waiting, while a 3,000-page per month duty cycle ensures your printer's reliability even in the busiest of households.

The P915 connects to your computer via its easy-to-use USB 2.0 interface, and an optional Ethernet network port provides expandability by allowing you to print from any computer on your network. Printing without a computer is just as easy, with PictBridge digital camera support and compatibility with a variety of memory cards, including CompactFlash Type I & II, Memory Stick, Memory Stick Pro, Memory Stick Duo with adapter, Multi Media, Secure Digital, SmartMedia, Microdrive, and xD.

The P915's software package includes Lexmark Image Studio and Lexmark Print Center, helping you to achieve the best print results possible. Compatible with both PC and Mac operating platforms, the P915 comes backed with a one-year limited warranty.

This is really easy to use, just push in your memory card and it downloads the photos or prints them. The reason I gave this a 4 not 5 is that the photo cartridge doesn't last long and they are $25 to replace. It prints very clear pictures and normal printing is good, although doesn't have a black cartridge so uses the more expensive color one.

HAVE HAD THIS PRINTER FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND A HALF. THE PERFORMANCE HAS BEEN FABULOUS FOR ME. I MAKE & SELL POSTCARDS OF MY LOCAL SMALL TOWN AND THE PHOTOS ARE ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. I JUST RAN OFF 400 POSTCARDS (2 SIDED) FOR A GIFT SHOP OPEN HOUSE AND THE COLOR IS GREAT. OTHER REVIEWERS INDICATE IT EATS TOO MUCH INK. I RUN MY CARTRIDGES INTO THE GROUND EVEN WHEN CARTRIDGE IS INDICATED AT EMPTY. I ALSO PURCHASE MY LEXMARK #35 (HIGH YIELD) CARTRIDGES ON EBAY. USUALLY WIN BID FOR AROUND $8.50 PLUS SHIPPING. SHOP EBAY! OTHER FOLKS I KNOW USE A "COMPARABLE" LEXMARK CARTRIDGE AND HAVE PROBLEMS WITH MESSAGE COMING UP ABOUT INK CARTRIDGE BEING LOW TO EMPTY. THIS PRINTER FEEDS GREAT(TOP FEED). I ALWAYS HAD PROBLEMS WITH THE HP PRINTERS (BOTTOM FEED) WITH JAMMING. I WILL BUY ANOTHER ONE OF THESE TO KEEP AS A BACKUP.

This printer is wonderful for your photos. You just plug your camera or memory card in and it auto downloads any pictures and you can crop, resize, and preview straight from the printer, no use for computer. Uses more ink than a normal printer but that's because you are printing higher quality photos, not just documents. Also good for that too tho, just use black ink only.
