The 16 MB standard memory is upgradeable to 80 MB total, should you need it, while a 15,000-page per month maximum duty cycle ensures the E234 performs reliably even in medium to heavy-use environments. The 250-page input capacity can be boosted to 800 pages with the addition of an optional 550-sheet paper drawer, while an output capacity of 150 pages lets you print large documents without any hassle. In addition, the E234 supports a wide variety of media types, including card stock, envelopes, paper labels, plain paper, and transparencies, with accepted media sizes ranging from 3 by 5 to 8.5 by 14 inches.
Connectivity is provided via parallel and USB ports, and an optional Ethernet network port can be added to provide workgroup functionality. A low-toner indicator lets you know when it's time to replace your cartridge, while a toner-save mode helps to extend your toner's life. The E234 has a 15.6-by-13.9-inch footprint and comes backed with a one-year limited warranty.

Use with Linux not recommended,
By bRobert "Linux Geek" (Tulsa, Ok) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Lexmark E234 Monochrome Laser Printer (22S0502) (Office Product)
This printer works just fine with Windows, but I would not recommend it for Linux users. You will save yourself a lot of trouble by looking for Postscript printers. This is a PCL printer. I purchased a used Lexmark Optra S 1855 network printer off of ebay for less than I paid for this printer. Good quality printer, just can't use it personally.
