Easy, Fast Operation and Print/Copy Output
The X342N gives you fast, high-quality results with remarkable speed. It prints up to 27 pages per minute (ppm), or 25 ppm with A4 paper, with a time to first print as quick as 10 seconds, and a black resolution of 600 x 600 dots per inch (dpi). It also has a capacity of up to 800 pages of paper (with the optional 550-Sheet Drawer that holds a full ream of most papers) to reduce wait times. Copy 27 documents per minute (25 ppm A4) with a time to first copy as quick as 12 seconds, and customize your documents with reduce/enlarge capabilities from 25 to 400 percent. Extremely versatile, the X342N can print on a variety of different types and sizes of paper materials and envelopes, including card stock, paper labels, and transparencies. Thanks to book hinges and the legal-size glass, you can also quickly scan and copy large documents and books. In addition, high-yield toner cartridges are available to help further reduce printing interruptions.

Scan and Fax in Minutes
The scanner and fax machine give you fast, reliable results. You can scan up to legal size documents (8.5 x 14 inches) in color or black and white with an up to 50 page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). You can also fax with modem speeds from 2400 up to 33600 bits per second, and ten speed-dials. There's also available software to help you create and organize digital documents from your scanned originals. The fax machine delivers up to 400 x 400 dpi resolution, junk fax block (where available), and caller ID. The system also features 209 maximum broadcast locations, speed dial or shortcuts (10 based on a 10 digit number with a shortcut limit of 512 characters), and automatic redial/busy redial (where available) to save you time.

Easily Share and Organize Your Documents
The X342N comes with software to help you organize and share your documents with your entire workgroup. Presto! PageManager 7.0 Deluxe lets you convert files with common formats into a standard PDF file. It also lets you organize and search for documents using a word or phrase from a scanned document's annotation. Also included is ABBYY Optical Character Recognition software, which allows you to scan a document and save it as text or as HTML. The 150 MHz processor and 64 MB of standard memory means the X342N handles even big jobs with ease.
