DONT BUY,
By
This review is from: Lexmark X3550 Three In One Multifunction Printer W (Office Product)
Do not buy this product, I will not buy Lexmark products anymore. I spoke with 7 reps, reinstalled the driver 5 times and also got so mad they actually sent me a new printer, guess what, that printer did not work as promised either. If you dont have to scan, then you can buy this product. If you have to scan anything do not buy this product. Both computers do not scan. I see a lot of rants on-line also so you know Lexmark knows about the problem. I seen some dated from 2007. They can at least add a patch to the driver. Don't buy. Customer Service is good for sending me the replacement printer, but the product is garbage.

Spend your money on another more reliable brand ...,

This is my second Lexmark and my last...My previous Lexmark all-in-one came with my Dell computer and it worked okay, but was slow and froze up the computer every time I tried to cancel a print job. So, I decided to buy a newer X3550 Lexmark All-In-One machine. From the onset, I've experienced many problems. The "power save" feature is great, until you cannot get the printer to come back on when you push the power button...I have to actually unplug the power pack from the back and reinsert each time this happens to get any response from the unit. (I believe that Lexmark has addressed this issue, but I'm unable to get the fix downloaded from their website (not found).) The printer software still hangs up the entire computer system when I cancel a print job. And if you don't like to spend money on ink cartridges, steer clear of this machine. I don't print many pictures or documents, but the cartridges go very quickly regardless. The paper feeder gets jammed up often. First it started pulling papers in crooked, scrunching to one side, and would jam before the paper got thru the machine. Now I have a piece of scrunched up paper stuck inside the machine out of reach of fingers or tweezers. So, it's useless now. I've tried technical support from Lexmark but that was laughable. I asked for the name/location of the nearest warranty service center because it's still under warranty and was never given that info...but they were quite willing to help me troubleshoot my problems (over and over and over to no avail).

I bought this printer a year and half ago, and it had the same problems everyone else has mentioned, freezing up the computer, jamming, and running out of ink, I tried a refill for my exsisting cartridge, and the printer is programmed to not accecpt the same cartridge regardless of the ink level, so we bought a new one, mistake was buying a new lexmark with the wifi cablability for the office, it has all the same exact problems regardless of which computer it is told to print from. Same deal with wanting you to buy their cartridges, and if you run out of black it won't let you even use color to get by, it won't even let you fax! Until you buy more of their overpriced ink! what a JOKE!
Stay AWAY no matter how cheap the deal at staples or walmart is!

Not a Good Printer,
This review is from: Lexmark X3550 Three In One Multifunction Printer W (Office Product)
I usually give products the benefit of the doubt before i will submit a bad review. This printer constantly disconnects from my networks. I rarely can get it to print. Sometime I can get it to work but reconfiguring it from scratch.. It will then work for a couple of days them quit again. The ink also seems to last about a week. I would skip this printer.

This printer is a pain,

The Lexmark printer is a pain and more work than it's worth. As another reviewer commented, the driver had to be reinstalled many times, everytime I ran into a problem, that was usually the solution. It says it has a fax, but there's no phone line hook-up. Called them, they said you did it over the net. Tried to set it up, ran into a message that said no fax available on this unit. If you try to use a non Lexmark ink, you had to click several times through to get the printer going. It keeps telling you to order Lexmark ink every time, like you're some kind of dummy. And it says you are low on ink, even with fresh non Lex ink cartridges in it. While it actually works, printing quality and speed ok, but no fun if it takes an hour of fixes to get there. I doubt I buy Lexmark again.

Good printer for little money.,

I bought this printer at a closeout price. Works great for my needs - normal household, kid's in school stuff. Biggest complaint is the ink doesn't last long, but the printing is very clean and bright. Would I use this in a business? No, but then I realize this isn't a business quality product.

Good Printer,
This review is from: Lexmark X3550 Three In One Multifunction Printer W (Office Product)
I can only guess that the other two reviewers didn't install the printer correctly--I say this because mine works like a charm. I've tried Epson, HP and Lexmark and Lexmark does the best--for me anyway. If there were a 4 1/2 star rating, I would have given it that.

Worst printer/copier!!!!,

I gave this item one star only because there was not a negative star system. This is the second printer I have used..the first one went into power saver mode & had to be completely unplugged to get it to turn back on & my paper started to jam for no reason, feeding fine, stopped about an inch into the machine & flashed the paper jam notice. After dealing for weeks with customer service (machine was only about 6 months old at the time) I finally got them to send me a new machine. Their customer servics is the worst, couldn't get ahold of anyone via phone & had to do it all via e-mail, sent numerious e-mails, talked with numerous personnel & had to start over each time. Finally got the machine & sent back the old one & then started getting calls from someone else wanting to know my address so they could send me a replacement machine-should have taken it instead of being honest. The second machine is now jamming again-for no reason. I am so fed up with this machine & the company that I'd rather just trash it & go buy another one...good money down the drain. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT OR DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY-THEY BOTH ARE NOT WORTH YOUR TIME OR MONEY!!!!
