Too bad there's not 0 stars,
This review is from: Lexmark X5410 All In One Printer (Office Product)
Worst printer ever. Bought this from walmart. Just tried printing my first color document on it. It began to catch the pages that had already printed and were lying on the outfeed tray somehow pulling them back into the printer. Once I cleared that jam, paper will not load at all without crumpling up in the feeder. One hour later, I have two pages printed and a completely worthless printer.

Worst Ever,

This is the worst printer I have ever purchased in my life. Here's the scam: you buy ink cartridges for it every two days and you cannot do manual ink recharging, you must purchase new cartridges.
I purchased this for small business use and was interested in the copy and scanning functionality. When I had to print out a 30 page document, it ran out of ink in the middle. Purchased another print cartridge and completed the print job. A few days later had to print out another market intelligence report about 40 pages, required a new print cartridge. Note, these were not color copies, this was just black and white text. Biggest waste of money ever. Threw this thing away and I will never buy another Lexmark product.

Great copier for simple tasks.,

I bought this item only for the copier feature. I have a mobile business and on occasion, need to make document copies while on location. The Lexmark X5410 solves that purpose. It's portable, because it's light enough to carry. I bought a shallow plastic tub for it and keep it in the back of my car (I remove it from the car when the weather is hot). I actually use it in my car with my 400 watt, 3.48 amp inverter. It powers up quickly and makes great quality copies. For simple tasks and a copier that works well while on the road, the Lexmark X5410 does the job just fine!

Alignment problem after one month of use ...,
This review is from: Lexmark X5410 All In One Printer (Office Product)
Worked perfectly well until the machine displayed "alignment problem". I replaced the cartridges, replaced the paper, I followed all the instructions for this problem ... no way to solve it.
I highly recommend to avoid Lexmark!

Not worth it at any price,

I picked up one of these at Fry's because they didn't have the adaptor I needed to access my old parallel port printer. I figured at $30, it would be worth it. It wasn't. After two uses it stopped working. I can't even comment on ink use because it broke before I could print more than a couple pages. I've replaced it with a Canon PIXMA MX340 Wireless Office All-in-One Printer (4204B019) which is a hundred times improvement over this one and cost me only $80 from Amazon. This one is cheap but it's not a bargain. Instead of paying $80 for a printer, I paid $80+$30. I hope you won't make the same mistake.

If you are like me and lost the disk and PC got fried you can not download and use the drivers for the printer but you can how ever use the one above and get the dam thing to print. It's not the greatest printer but for a mom with two kids and whom has to share some utility's it works great. I can copy right here at home, print coupons, and scan photos. So it can work ok. I am having one issue now that I figured how to get it to print with out my original disk I lost when we moved, I can not scan. But I figure I will find the disk soon enough and fix that too. Word of advice DO NOT LOSE THE DISK! The print quality is ok. But if you want it for professional use get an HP as I used to have until a child stuck a crayon in it. I am glad I got mine in sale for under 50.00 over a yr ago too. So not worth anything over 30.00 to be honest. Black printing is better then the color and it works great for my coupons.

Hate this printer,

Somehow runs out of color ink, even though I never print in color. Then refuses to print in Black until I buy more color. Now that I've replaced the color, getting an error message saying the cartridge is incorrect, even though it's what Lexmark recommended. I give this negative stars. Will never buy another Lexmark product.

WORST PRINTER EVER!!!,
This review is from: Lexmark X5410 All In One Printer (Office Product)
Do NOT buy this printer! You will be SORRY! We printed 6 sheets of paper with this thing (all totaled!) and now it's completely KAPUT! It won't print, scan, copy ~ nothing. I read in another person's review that they had to go buy another ink cartridge, and I wonder if we're out of ink (after just 6 sheets??), but the thing isn't alerting me that an ink cartridge is low, so I doubt that's the issue. Even if it is, I refuse to put another dime into this thing. What a piece of JUNK!

Decent, but not Great,

This printer came with my computer. While it isn't terrible, it does have some issues.
(1.) I had lots of trouble setting it up, and after 2-3 calls to customer service (very friendly, short wait), it turned out the color cartridge the printer shipped with was defective. I wasn't thrilled with that rather expensive issue, but I got a new cartridge and things worked fine. For a while. (2.) The next issue came when the black cartridge was about halfway out of ink. It wasn't too low (I checked), but everything was coming out blurry. Not amount of ink-sucking alignment pages or print head cleaning would fix the issue. I finally just bought a new cartridge and would switch the cartridges back and forth for important/precise needs (work, coupons) or drafts I was editing. The blurry issue happened with every successive black cartridge too, as soon as it hit the halfway point. SOLUTION: I eventually figured out that I can fix this issue by printing a document (doesn't matter what) and then immediately pulling out the cartridge (must be wet) and wiping off the bottom with a tissue or cloth. When I put it back in, it prints like a brand new cartridge. Wish I had known this sooner, as it would have saved me a ton of aggravation and wasted money. (3.) I keep my computer & printer in my bedroom, and I've noticed that it will sometimes spin the feeder a little and make noise even while it is off. I'm a heavy sleeper, so no big deal, but if you aren't, I would recommend checking out another printer or keeping this on a power strip you can turn off. All that aside, it does print fairly well, and the ink cartridges last for quite a while. I like the scanner part (though I wish the scanner cover would hold itself open) and the software isn't bad. I like being able to preview what I'm scanning, which takes a little longer but lets you adjust the image and crop before you scan and save the file. I teach a writing class, and I've taken to scanning activities with this, cropping out unnecessary material from the page on preview, and then projecting the image during class as we go over it. The cropped images are sharp enough for students to read the text from anywhere in the classroom. I've also scanned in film-camera photos from several years ago and had them printed (at a store, not on this printer). I was impressed with how well they turned out.

Got it Free, Did Not Work from the GetGo,

Between purchased printers and freebies, this was printer #4 for me. It's the only printer that would not work from the start, would not even print an alignment page or just print a copy. I wanted to use it as an independent copier, and obviously will NOT buy Lexmark for such a copier.
