Automatic Cartridge Alignment eliminates the need for manual alignment. An optical sensor reads the alignment page and automatically updates the printer settings. With an automatic paper-type sensor, the printer automatically recognizes different paper types and adjusts the printer settings for optimal print quality.

Variable drop size dramatically increases the quality of the output. The 3pL drops are for highly detailed areas, while the 10pL drops provide better fill in solid color areas. The printer driver automatically switches between the drop sizes.

I have had this printer for over two years now without any problems. I'm a senior in college so I use it quite often. The bulk of my printing is usually black and white pages for paper, so I don't know how it would perform with more quality intense projects. All and all, I have been very satisfied with this product (for the price).

Lexmark z 55 is a very poor product it does not last long and trying to find out how to replace the product even with a warrenty stinks.. I am now without a printer I will never buy a lexmark again this is my third one in less the several years other people I talk to have their printers for years but they are not lexmark models. I need help with a refund and cannot even find that much.. Paid over $80.00 for a piece of junk I would not recomment this lexmark z55 to anyone.. Sorry I ever bought one to begin with.
