Solid album - worth the wait!,

This review is from: Leylines (MP3 Download)
This is a great album. From the opening to the closing minutes, it is an ethereal (though not too much so - an hour and twenty minutes running time) journey through midnight soundscapes, moody mists, and vaulted clear night skies pirouetting above my insignificant figure. Such as is the imagery I see when listening to Aes Dana, "[ Leylines ]" in particular, anyways.
Vincent has done it again - released something I can't stop listening to! I find an excuse to listen to it and relax, whether it's to study, read, nap, or just let the ambient harmony play while I sit under a tree and look up at the blue summer skies and warm sun peeking through the leaves. The only reason I rate it a 4 is because "Bam" and "Lysistrata" have been released before (nothing against spreading a great track like "Lysistrata" - it just ain't new, that's all ;) ). Otherwise, "Heights," "Adonaļ," and "Leylines" are all great tracks, too, with "Alignments" being a solid intro to this chill album and "Blossom" closing it out nicely. Don't hesitate to buy! |
