It's not that hard to unscrew the Sansa's case and put the battery in, unlike when you try to replace an iPod's or other Mp3 Player's.

However, it would be useful if the battery worked. I purchased it because I was desperate to get more than a couple hours of battery life, as my original battery has become wore out and doesn't hold a charge well. Despite it having no reviews, and against my better judgment I bought it rather than hope and wait that an official Sansa battery would be available, because all of the retailers for it were out of stock.

So, anyway, the real battery has two little plastic prong-like bits at the bottom that help it lock into place firmly, so that it makes connection with the top - however, this knock off's prongs are far too short to actually work, so the battery doesn't fit and just pops out.

If you're looking into possibly buying it, I'd recommend either searching more on Amazon for a legit official Sansa battery, or buying it some somewhere IRL or on eBay. It's not fun to waste money on a useless piece of junk, after all!

The battery itself was fine and I couldn't be happier with the price. However, it was slightly loose in my MP3 and would lose connection when I exercised and the player would stop. The fix consisted of putting pieces of electrical tape on the front, back and lower edge to give it a tighter fit. Now I'm happy.

As our family has more than one sansa player with aging batteries, I purchased 3 of these. They all turned out to be junk.

There are 2 basic problems with these batteries.

1) They do not fit properly in the Sansa e200 units because they are a bit short and keep loosing contact. This can be remedied by adding a couple of layers of duct tape to the bottom edge to shim it so it will fit tightly.

But there is a worse problem...

2) These batteries have less capacity than the 3-4 year old ones I removed from my players! One of these batteries is so bad that immediately after charging I can actually watch the battery indicator drop 81%, 80%, 79%, right before my eyes!

Save your money, don't buy these scam batteries.

Battery wasn't the proper size. It was physically the right size, but it was just a hair smaller than the original, so the Sansa woudn't make contacts with the leads. Junk.

First, the company, Eforcity, served me well; they delivered the product promptly, and when the product would not work, they accepted the return and refunded my purchase price and shipping. I have purchased from them before, and I would not hesitate to do so again. The low rating is NOT for the company but for the product.

The battery: I purchased two batteries for our two Sansa e280s. I have a version 1 and a version 2; the installation was fine, but neither battery in neither player would charge or work.

I called another vendor from a nationally recognized brand; the sales rep indicated that some companies embed a chip in the battery that must be there to communicate with the player. I don't know if that is the situation here, but I was unable to get these batteries to work with my players. I cleaned terminals; I exchanged batteries; I used both the wall and computer chargers, but none of these procedures worked with these batteries.

I've ordered another battery to see if I just happened to receive a faulty product. If I learn anything, I will amend this review.

When I received the battery and placed it into my sandisk playre, it was dead. I checked the battery with a tester and sure enough....dead. I would not purchase another one.

These replacement batteries for my Sandisk Sansa were a real find. I expected to pay way more for them. I noted other reviewers had a problem with them not quite fitting properly (too short) but they fit my mp3 player like the originals, and in three minutes I was back in business. I didn't need the enclosed mini-screwdriver but it was a nice touch.

I found it was not a tight fit like the original battery.

Delivery was prompt but wondered if I shouldn't have spent the money for an original manufacturer battery.

This was purchased to replace a battery for an mp3 player. This was a more powerful battery than the original and lasts for several days between charging.

I'm lucky to get a hour of music from a full charge on this battery. The original equipment battery lasted ten times as long. Don't know why, but I won't buy this one again.
