4.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely fun
yes it is way too short, however it is a very enjoyable romp of comedy music. Some is incredibly lustrious and others are subdued. Both capturing the picture and both rewarding to hear.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good theme, but....
Well the theme of Liar Liar is absolutely beautiful and it gets stuck in your ear as soon as you hear it. It is played in diffrent styles and with different instruments but it's the only thing that's worth the buy.... because there is nothing more. The CD also is way too short but we soundtracks lovers know this problem, don't we? So if you own the movie on DVD, just...

4.0 out of 5 stars One of my all-time favorites, June 2, 2001
This review is from: Liar Liar: Original Motion Picture Score (Audio CD)
I love this CD and want to give it 5 stars. I think it should be in everyone's collection. Why 4? It's short. The themes are somewhat similar (as in much good comedy music) and oddly familiar. Why 5? It's among my best work motivating CDs. It makes this man want to cry when I think about recommending it. My bias: I loved that the movie showed so many examples of where a person can decide to tell the truth during a 24-hour day that it joined my collection of 10 or so films worth owning. I play it like I used to play my Shadowfax collection

3.0 out of 5 stars Nothing outstanding, but fun., December 29, 2002

John Debney's score for "Liar Liar" doesn't push the boundaries of the art, but with a running time of under half an hour it doesn't overstay its welcome, with "Airport Chase," "It's Fletcher" and the end titles and "Outtakes Montage" as standout tracks.

The score's main theme is actually by James Newton Howard (a function he also performed on John Frizzell's "Dante's Peak" - but unlike there, Howard's credit is buried on the inside of the booklet and the movie's end credits).
