4.0 out of 5 stars Prettier blue than in the picture!
These are closer to cobalt than the picture shows, which is great if that's what you want! (I took off a star because the picture isn't as accurate as it should be.) They're not the deepest cobalt that I love, especially toward the tops where they're thinner, but definitely darker than the picture. Also, the pictures make them look like they might be ribbed or...

1.0 out of 5 stars What A Disappointment
Having recently moved & become once again interested in my blue glassware, I bought this set in spite of reading a very bad review. I figured, "hey, once upon a time I had these very glasses and they were great. That person must have gotten a bad lot."

Well, once upon a time they were great. Sadly, just like a reviewer before me, I too received a set of...

They're not the deepest cobalt that I love, especially toward the tops where they're thinner, but definitely darker than the picture. Also, the pictures make them look like they might be ribbed or something, they're not. Seem thick enough to be sturdy enough for everyday use, though I'm not dropping them on the floor to see if they break or not.

Having recently moved & become once again interested in my blue glassware, I bought this set in spite of reading a very bad review. I figured, "hey, once upon a time I had these very glasses and they were great. That person must have gotten a bad lot."

Well, once upon a time they were great. Sadly, just like a reviewer before me, I too received a set of glasses that looked to be an assembled lot of manufacturing defects. At least one was chipped on the rim, another had an entire chunk missing on the rim that obviously happened at manufacturing because it was smoothed out. Best way to describe it is that it looked like the edge had been melted. The rest of the lot consisted of glasses that had uneven thickness & ripples in the glass. That would be fine if they were hand blown & meant to be unique.

I packed them right back up & they are on their way back to Amazon as I type. To be fair, that is not the quality I am accustomed to from this brand so I hope this only represents some sort of attempt to get rid of overstock. That said, I still have no intention of purchasing them again. Instead I am going to go for the Bormioli clear w/blue swirls. I picked up some of the rocks glasses on this order and like them far better. They are heavy and uneven (in a good way) but they are meant to be so.

I took pictures of the chips in one of the tall, colbalt blue Libby glass and posted it to Amazon. I never heard back after sending a statement with 2 pictures of the chipped glass. I asked what would be appropriate, sending the whole package back or would they send a replacement for the tall glass that had 2 chips at the rim. I have the purchase sitting here in its packaging waiting to either send it back or receive that replacement.
