The glasses themselves are great. Their realistic size means that a real martini (about 2.5 ounces of alcohol plus some ice water) won't get completely lost inside them. (Come on, people, a 12 ounce cocktail glass?) Plus, they aren't ridiculously shallow; the angle of the glass sizes mean you can walk around with your drink without fear of sloshing half of it on your shoes.

However, the packaging that Libbey saw fit to put them in was obviously never intended to be shipped. There's no padding in the original box, and the dividers between the glasses are plain, flat cardboard. While Amazon.Com (bless them) wrapped the whole thing in bubble wrap, the original packaging is completely inadequate. Upon picking up the box from my front stoop, I could hear the broken glass within. Three of the twelve glasses were broken.

The glasses are great; Amazon.Com did their job; but Libbey doesn't know how to package cocktail glasses. Caveat emptor.

We had friends over and made grasshoppers. The size was perfect for experimenting with the flavors and variations. The storage box is great to put them away for next time. They wash well in the dishwasher and are sturdy enough for not-so-agile hands... Great value for price paid.

I've been looking for decently priced cocktail glasses that hold about 4 oz with a straight stem and a smooth shape, and this is just the deal! Although I agree with another reviewer about the packaging being inappropriate for delicate glass, I received them intact and enjoyed them the very next day. They are CLASSIC martini/cocktail glasses. They are thick enough to not have to worry about breaking them while washing and the stem is sturdy. They are good quality and perfect for entertaining guests, or for just having them handy--you never know, and the price is a bargain at just a little more than $1.50 each. I highly recommend this product.
